even if this did work, you would have to continue doing it over and over until you destroy the console.....and a hair dryer isn't hot enough to do anything to the solder under the chip. WASTE OF TIME PEOPLE. CALL A LOCAL FIX SHOP!
It might work for years for some people, so as a temporary fix, might be worth it... But you would only put washers on the clamp and try to make it work, the hairdryer is pointless and with a heat gun you might completely blow the entire motherboard, like my friend when he tried on the PS3, he melted everything LOL. If adding washers on the clamp doesn't work, just call a professional reballing service for a complete fix and don't ever use an heat gun if you don't really have a clue what you are doing.
Hairdryer is hot enough have u felt it I thought the same until I burned myself and that makes the whole ps4 burn up trust me I tryed it to remove dust and it made he thing hot
my ps4 does not suffer from heating before the blue light comes on and in a few seconds (1 or 2) goes off HELP IS DAMAGING FROM NIGHT TO TOMORROW WITHOUT SENSE
people listen to me please what I did was turn the ps4 off by holding the button down enough to hear 2 beeps then take out all the wires and push the button while its off to release all the power left in it then I pushed the button again just to make sure its all out then plug just the power plug in first then turn it on do not go into safe mode just do one beep then plug the other wires in and it will work because the first thing I did was do surgery on it and put the washers into the console but it did not work then i tried what I just said and it worked and now i'm playing my ps4 I am not bsing just try this
lol i put a thermal pad on mine and now it does not work turns blue a few seconds and then turns off tell me to plug in controller but it does nothing i didnt try this im sure it wont work
Well I had both red light and blue light of death what I did was I removed the console of the wall socket for a week and I found it working and ever since that problem was fixed I never experienced any problems again
similar thing happened to my xbox360 years ago called the ring of death. Worked for some but not for me so I went for the hassle free option an purchased a new one from a big retail shop and then swapped the internals and returned it that worked for me. they didn't even check it .
muhammed Fázïl This is not a permanent fix, I made this video only to help people to save theirs saves games and documents in the PS4. To permanent fix this issue you need to made a reball (or send to Sony). Sorry
