Fix Dell Computer Has No Sound in Windows 10/8/7 -[Tutorial] 

I was watching every video on RU-vid and none of them were working but when I watched this video it worked thank you I really mean it

OMG! Thank you. I have this "no sound" problem every time my computer is turned off and back on again. I don't know why. I can never remember how to fix it. It's ridiculous that I should have to do this every time I turn it on. I usually leave it on all the time anyway so I only have to do it after updates. Thanks again!! A million thumbs up! Nothing worked but going through your fixes did lead me to the problem. HEADPHONE PLUG broken off inside the front jack disabling the rear jack also!

For me settings -> sound -> manage sound devices, I found I had two "Speakers (High Definition Audio device)" and one was the right one, other wasn't. One was "both rear and front audio output". So I disabled the "wrong" one. Now it can't accidentally revert to the "wrong" one.

Thank you for showing all these options. When I go to the Sound section of settings, it shows no devices for output or input, not even defaults. So I have tried everything but still no luck.

Do you need a seperate speaker or does most monitors come with speakers built in?

What if the computer isn't even detecting the sound card in order to make it even appear in Device Manager?

Do u need speakers for it to play out of the monitor?

Would this also account for no sound from the headphones section?

On the bottom of the sound page, I clicked on advanced sound options. (App volume and device preferences.) Output > No output devices found. Dell with windows 10. What can I do?

I did all of this but still nothing. I have a wireless adapter so I can use Bluetooth earbuds and they work but when I get on a game only the sounds works. I updated everything but still have the problem. Any suggestions?

None of it worked this is for a Dell s2721nx, the actual speakers on the monitor won't make a sound but it reads as if it was on the test bar. Do you think it's just a faulty device /return?

New Dell, my speakers won't work with it, when O toggle the jack there is feedback, but headphone jack does. So not computer then?

If you successfully updated your drivers and it displays that, restart the laptop and try the sound before doing anything else

Iam not able to see enhancement tab in sound , and 3 of them didn't work for me . I use dell optiplex 7040. Can someone help me here?

Thank you I found a solution I had downloaded nordvpn and somehow it turned off the volume all I had to do was to follow your steps and restart the computer as the driver suggested. 👍

My driver is updated but then also very low volume is coming what should I do?

thanks. but it doesn't solve my problem. it just says it is already up to date... and the device is enabled for sound. yet nothing.

tried all suggestions many times before and again.. still didn't work ... tried everything .. everything shows that drivers are updated, sound is on, etc., etc... still not sound trying to listen to videos on laptop or have video conference calls thru laptop ... very very frustrating

Good video, but it didn´t work for my Dell XPS M1330. Instead I had to use the Drivers and Utilities CD that came with the laptop and that worked! The driver I installed wth the CD was "Sigmatel STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio Driver" and it worked for Win7 and Win10
