Wasn't working for me so I thought my batteries were empty, but I tested them using the camera as you suggested and they worked. I restarted the TV and its working again. Just saved me a small fortune on batteries. Much appreciated and subscribed
My issue is weird. If I take the batteries out the remote will work for 1 button push then nothing. So to navigate menu I must keep popping the batteries out. Also power button continues to work as well as the voice button but it does not register voice commands. Any help?
I bought a sony bravia kdl-55w800c from a neighbor but they lost the remote, I bought my own RMT-TX100U and it isn’t working, it appears as if it was factory reset and I am on a welcome menu prompting me to choose a language and I can’t select anything with the on board controls only change volume or turn the tv off. The remote is on because I can see the inferred light on my phone camera but won’t do anything on the tv
@jamesjelly69 Bro, It seems like you're experiencing some difficulties setting up your Sony Bravia TV with a new remote. To address this issue, try the following steps: 1. Pair the Remote * Ensure the remote is compatible with your TV model (KDL-55W800C) and it has fresh batteries. * Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power outlet. * Press and hold the Power button on the remote for about 5 seconds, then release it. * Plug the TV back into the power outlet and turn it on. * Test if the remote is now working. 2. Perform a Power Reset * Unplug the TV from the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. * Press and hold the Power button on the TV itself (not the remote) for 10 seconds. * Plug the TV back in and turn it on. * Attempt to use the remote again. 3. Use a Universal Remote * If the RMT-TX100U remote is still not functioning, you could try using a universal remote control that is compatible with Sony TVs. * Follow the manufacturer's instructions to set up and program the universal remote. If none of the above solutions work, you may need to reach out to Sony customer support for further assistance, as they might be able to provide specific guidance based on your TV model and the remote you've purchased. ☺️
