Sony TV remote Fix. Reset / Re-pair. Bravia Android TV. 

Some but not all buttons stopped working. Re-pairing the remote with the instructions in this video fixed the problem. Excellent info, well presented, many thanks!

thanks, looked all over for this info. Mine said it was already paired, but it wasn't working like blue tooth. (Had to hold the remote directly at the tv.) Now it repaired and works as blue tooth should.

I just got my brand new A80J and after the first update it ran the app/option buttons on the remote no longer worked. This fixed it no problems... thanks a lot!

Thank you so much for your remote fix. It's been days I've been trying to find a way to get my remote to work. My Sony is the one button kind and it's of no use if you don't have a remote. This is a design flaw I believe because the button options don't have arrow keys to help you navigate. Thanks again and more power to your channel!

Thanks man, it fixed my problem. Under Bluetooth settings I had to click on add device and when tv was searching for the remote I pressed down volume button along with Google assistant button and voila it worked.

great video, very smart. Do you know if 2021 remotes can work with a 2020 remote properly? I was able to pair a x800j remote to my A8h and works well via infrared but once its connected via bluetooth it loses some functionality like input button, dedicated streaming buttons, etc...

Thank you for this video. I have a Sony 85X900F. I have followed your directions and it worked. My remote reset to BT. However, after the TV is shutdown, it goes back to IR when restarted. I tried dozens of times after rebooting the TV and resetting the remote. I did discover that if I press down volume button along with Google assistant button WITHOUT ENTERING SETTINGS, UNPAIRING. In other words; while watching TV. It takes seconds, but I have to do this every time.

I own a sony XH95 which comes with a RMF-TX500E remote, I have seen that the new 2021 TVs come with the SONY RMF-TX621E which is identical except for the additional shortcut buttons to RU-vid, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+, all of which I subscribe to. I am wondering if I purchase a sony 2021 remote (SONY RMF-TX621E) and paired it with my XH95 would I get the full functionality? The XH95 remote (RMF-TX500E) has only two short cuts which are Google Play and Netflix, so Netflix is the only app I could confidently imagine would work when paired. Have you ever tried using a 2021 remote on a 2020 TV? Do you think it would work?

Thanks for the video. I tried as you described, resetting to Bluetooth mode. The voice feature has always worked but we must aim the remote at the tv, so it seems as if it is in IR mode by default all the time. for the kd-55xf9005 model it is not valid, I know this because the ir sensor in the tv was faulty and only the mic button was working. So via Bluetooth only that button works, the rest of the buttons go via infrared. Now I changed the ir sensor in the TV and the TV works fine

My 2019 xbr-65850g wont turn on bluetooth? When i toggle bluetooth on, it looks like it's on, but when i try to connect remote it says bluetooth must be turned on for this. And when i go back to bluetooth settings it is toggled off.
