Just a heads up, the "highest player count all time!!" is not true, as much as you want to run from it. Zesty Jesus had a video a few weeks ago called "TF2: Nobody's Home" that describes why in full. Or, tl;dr, 60%-70% of the playercount on steam is bots.
@@SoupTF2Real I may be wrong. But, my point of view is, if GabeN makes money from the active players who are actually bots, that means he's secretly on bot hoster's side. Unless he's too lazy to identify who is who.
@@mr.mostwanted6389 how are they making money from the bots? If you mean the fact that they are speaking in vc meaning they paid money to talk, they didnt. Most bots that have premium are stolen accounts bought from third party sites. So no valve does not make as much as you think from the bots( or at least i think. Because even the dumbest bot hoster wouldn’t pay that much money to host bots)

I don't want to insult you, but you are insane for saying that valve wants to kill the game. Valve is not going to assign all the resources to deadlock, all the individual people working at valve decide for themselves on what they want to do, like, everybody knows that, and currently most people want to work on deadlock. After deadlock is out, a lot of people are going to other projects they want to work on - either new or old. And a lot of people at valve love tf2 and want would like to work on it some day. Saying that valve wants to kill tf2 or something like that is just dumb, I'm sorry. (Source: trust me, bro (actually, no, if you want, I can try to find where I heard all this)) Valve probably won't respond this time. They most likely are going to do something about the problem, and the only thing we'll hear about it from them is when the summer update releases or when they actually fix (or start fixing by releasing some update). This very well may be the same update. I personally don't see anything bad in them not responding, as the last time they responded didn't mean anything. Valve has always been quiet about what they're up to, so if they do fix the issue, they're probably not going to announce it, and will just release it as it is.
see i absolutely understand them possibly just pushing it with the summer update, but it’s truly a bummer for them to just push an update fixing what they need to fix instead of clarifying what they will fix and then pushing it in an update. i do know about valve working on projects at their own pace but it’s either common knowledge or pretty fair to assume tf2 is on the back burner for them. i know it’s not fair for me to say that valve wants to kill the game but deadlock seems like the one thing that would “kill” tf2 just because it seems like something they’d rather just have people move on to instead of clinging onto tf2. of course they won’t kill it, it just is no where near their main priority right now
@@JusJoeee fair point, but it's not like people at valve want tf2 players to move on to deadlock, and this will never happen even if they do want it. We all understand that people will be playing tf2 until the servers shut down. But even after that, people will surely find a way to play the game, like, tf2 classic is right there. Even if valve just straight up ignores everything, the community will keep the game alive, as it's been doing for years now. As I said - a lot of people working on deadlock will move on to other projects after the launch of deadlock. Currently, almost all of the valve devs are working on deadlock, after the release, the game won't need so many people, so most of them (most of them = majority of devs at valve) will be free to do anything they want. Considering that a lot of valve devs are interested in tf2, they see a big movement from tf2 community, demanding their attention, there is a chance that some valve devs will team up and start doing something with tf2. Not just fixing the bots, but maybe even working on proper updates. If we are lucky enough, they may actually fix the game (all the bugs, code issues, optimization, visual problems), which will attract even more developers. So I'm sure that the game won't be just left to rot away. And I personally don't really see the problem in them not specifying what they will fix. It doesn't really affect anything, imo. If they don't actually fix the problem, we just continue our campaign, no mater whether they'll say anything or not. In any case, the community still can take the maters into its own hands.
@@silk7818 very real, i’d love to see the future of this game and hopefully soon we can see a result from our campaigning. and tbh i’d be happy if we finally got the heavy update LOL
