Chronic Ankle and knee pain has given me horrible mobility issues. I'll be devouring your content with interest. I love your gait analysis as most drs don't even consider gait as a diagnostic tool. Thank you
I feel I need to do this a few times before getting back into my regular exercises since I sprained my ankle about 4 weeks ago. I will never leave a dumbbell laying around ever again 🤦🏼♀️
I just stumbled into your video today. I am a stroke survivor and my right ankle have been weak since then. I have not been able to walk more than .6 miles since with out stopping so many times to rest and catch my breath. Thank you for posting this video. I will try these exercises today.

Dr. Tom, I have Correct Toes but am only able to wear them at night as they hurt to wear them in my shoes. I see you recommend a night splint that only separates the big toe. I’ve thought that might be all I need when I use these Correct Toes as you can cut them to fit your needs. Or might the splint be even better? Curious to know what you think.
Almost one year i sprain the ankle on football match. I didint do a lot of rehab. Just rest. After 3-4 months i tried back to playing the football but i still had some pain. So i decide to wait 2-3 weeks. Unluckly i sprain ankle again in work. After this 2x spain ankle i still do my job and normaly walking, and even skiiing in winter. But after 1 year now i can forgot about playing football or running. My ankle hurt and have a pain in inversion and eversion. Hitting ball is impossible. I did magnetic resonance imaging and doctor said "nothing special showed" u need physiotherapist. I make some simmilar but also others exercises but still have pain(after exer...and next day) after 2 weeks. Should I still traning and rehab like this ? PS. My bones are fine (Not broken) and ligaments also wasnt broken.
Thank you so much for your videos, Tom! I have learned so much more from you, than my own podiatrist. I have been fitted for an Arizona Brace, but now I know that I can actually strengthen the muscles in my feet and legs. Maybe I won't have to wear it long, like originally thought
Great channel!!! Any recommendations for those with what appears as an inverted heel instead of the typical excessive eversion of the heel? I believe both end up with excessive pronation and with the person I am thinking of a bunion also. I would love to see a video going over the differences/similarities and potential differences in approaches.

Good coaCHes know that the back group of muSCles are the single most important half of the body. Another thing that they do is CHecking if muscles above knee and below knee are 2:1. So generally we are using the front group of muscles all the time. What we don't use is back. Meaning: from back of skull, down the back of the neck, shoulders, lower back and spine, over glutes hamstrings etc down to calf and Achilles and down portion of a foot. That back is sort of a spring. Much like red tissue inside bones. Bones are like batteries of the body. And good chiropractors know that they should be apart. All prepositions for illnesses are within bones. My anterior muscles on my left foot are silent. On the right foot that movement produces a cracking sound. I sprained my right foot. Now my right foot is a little wider, so I break the left heel part in every shoe in no time, my right foot is stiff, and stretching hurts. If I run, moving in a straight line forward is uneasy. I think that I hit my small toe more than it should be. Also the left side of my ankle and right side of my ankle hurts. Little bump on right lateral side of foot next to ankle. Bone perhaps. That ache is like two bones colliding..not exactly be described is similar to the crackling of bones through the water. Or etching the inside of the abdomen before running to the toilet. Тhe creaking of wet surfaces ..Ne-uro-pathy( Ur = light 89 mer ray ban tion sion etc ..area = surface or square.. sound circle sphere and light as square..kw kva kvar..aqua..cavity nucleation bubble..electron is bubble... CHronos and a Rea, X Panta rhei 58 etc...OurObOrOs = O-OOO magnetic light is all, 88/89 topology ).. Anyways, that line from let's say right cuboid- talus- calcaneus point upwards along fibula and mostly lateral side to hamstring.. lateral muscles and eversion( peroneus, perennial longus, fibularis... notice word play tabular tubular fibular :-)) ). So no. Your claim is not at all an exaggeration. Foot really matters. Kids should learn at least the basics. So that they can help themselves or others. Even masters of martial arts don't teach this healing section any more. You can balance on one foot at a more advanced level. Tib bar. Some karate videos present the same exerc. All the best people. Thanks!

I have weak ankles, as well as sore inner feet. Will orthopedic shoes correct it? My feet buckle out like in the vid on the treadmill. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the great response, M V! We think good shoes, insoles, and supportive home shoes are very important components in helping strengthen & hold the foot straight. - I see great results with stability, allowing the pain and soreness to improve, followed by massage/pain relief methods & then strengthening. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bkiRUlAfnZo.html This might help more!
