Fix Xbox One D-Pad Double Pressing! 

My lunar white has been doing this since day one making it sometimes impossible to use my pin. SO very disappointed in microsoft continuing in their tradition of releasing flawed hardware. Thanks for sharing this video though, pretty sad that we have to fix these things ourselves.

Thank you for this. It worked for my controller. I had bought a custom plate with custom metal joysticks for my controller, and after swapping everything out, the d-pad started acting up. Thanks again.

Guys I found a fix for d-pad misclicking/double-clicking/not clicking, just cut a small piece of regular one inch tape and put it behind the dpad where the button is that the dpad pushes (add multiple layers incase) I added about two and now it works

Can I replace my good controller but the d pad bad with a broken controller which has a good d pad?

Mine has this issue, where the down on the D-Pad just doesn't work at all.

the problem here is, that the little metal caps of the circuit are damaged, overpressed and they have a little delay to stop touching the circuit point , and this fix only damage them more, i´m not jelling anybody i just wanna help, i SUFFER when my control goes sick U.U

For me, when I press down it just goes into a loop, like one press it goes ten or so times down. Edit, November 4th, 2020: I solved the issue by switching from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0.

My d-pad presses mutiple times when i only press once but the thing is that iy is only doing it on the home page but when I manage to click on a game it just stop multi clicking and work like normal

what screwdriver is needed to open the controller? ( because it isnt normal philips screws in there )

So one day i started having this problem. after resetting the conroller and xbox I proceeded to beat on my controller. I picked it up, shook it and then i heard a click, and it was fixed.

Just smash the dpad with something a few times.

My controller registers multiple button pressed with most of the buttons, including up on the right stick. Sometimes my controller does functions normally, but only for a few seconds at a time. It seems to behave worse on some games, apps, or menus than it does others. I find it a little suspicious that it went from an occasional inconvenience to completely unusable just a day or two right after the 3 month warranty expired. fucking chaps my balls.

xbox one controllers are shit my first one got that stick drift thing and now my new one has a fucked up d pad not worth the £50 i paid for it never had these problems with xbox 360 controllers
