This was ask TWO years ago with no answer. How do you clear old log info from app? Once I fix my car, I want a clean log and not a bunch of old failures!

one thing I find confusing about FIXD is when do you need to have the engine actually running, after it does the scan, and when you can use the app with the engine off and/or with key off ??

I just purchased a fixed I’ve done all the set up instructions the fixid can not link to my vehicle? 2002 Chevy s10 ?

So sorry to hear you are having some connectivity issues. First, we recommend not connecting through your smartphone’s Bluetooth menu and instead connecting directly through the free FIXD App (but make sure your Bluetooth is on and you have the latest update of the app as well as operating system for your smartphone). ⠀ Next, we recommend double checking that there is a blue light that flashes when you plug the sensor into your OBD2 port. It should blink when it is plugged in and again when you hit “Tap to Scan” in the app. ⠀ If you are still running into issues, our support team will be able to assist you at bit.ly/FIXDsupport

Hey, FIXD works on gas-powered (including hybrid) vehicles built after 1996 and diesels built after 2008 with an OBD2 port. FIXD is only able to read and clear your vehicles' check engine light. The other lights (TPMS, ABS, Airbag, Maintenance lights, Stability Control, etc) and issues are controlled by manufacturer-specific parameter identifiers, which makes it difficult for us to read this information through the OBD-II port. We are working on licensing this information from the manufacturers and have a few manufacturer codes available, but not for all models that are compatible with FIXD yet.

how do i activare my old FIXD sensor to my new car without having the old car around

Hey James, you don't actually need your old car at all to pair your FIXD Sensor to your new car. Just plug your FIXD Sensor into your new car while it is on and open the free FIXD App then hit "Tap to Scan" and it will prompt syncing instructions. No need! The FIXD app is completely free to use. For free you can scan your car and you will get in depth personalized to your car details about what is wrong with your car based on your make, model, and mileage. You can also track all kinds maintenance with the app for free. If you have a car problem, the app will even recommend a trusted mechanic in the area for you to go to. There is an optional Premium upgrade in the app that will tell you what the most likely repair will be and how much it will cost, but this is not a necessary subscription to use the app.

ios and android are the type of smartphone you have. If you have and Apple phone its ios. If you have a Samsung galaxy phone,that would be android. Hope this helps.
