We developed a leak in the house from the chimney and we assess the problem and try to fix the leak by sealing our brick chimney and installing a new chimney cap on top of the flue liner.
Neil, It is very cheap and has worked for me the last 8 years without any problems whatsoever on product quality, and that is 6' x 20' rolls of black mesh plastic gutter guard. I have not had to climb any ladder and clean out gutters since I installed this. It stays put, too. The ONLY time I have had to reinstall is when one piece came out during an 60+ MPH wind. It fits tight under the shingle and the lip of the gutter with a slight bulge in the mesh. That's what keeps it tight and in place. These fancy leaf gutter guard systems you see advertised on TV is a waste of money, IMO.
I hope your fix, fixes the leak! Leaks are such a pain sometimes to find and cure. Working from heights is definitely my weakness, I avoid it as much as I can! Thank goodness for that bucket truck. Take care!
Great video! Definitely cool to have a bucket truck hook up, hopefully that f550 has cruise control, because if it doesnt that would make a long drive even longer.
Man it’s great to have connections…. With cool toys! That bucket truck is the perfect answer for getting to your chimney cap. Hopefully you won’t need to get up there again soon.
