Outstanding job for the 5 tradesmen that fixed those HD leaf springs. I wouldn't be afraid to let them work on my truck! I am serious. Once upon a time in the USA it was said that you could fix most anything with duct tape, bailing wire, an adjustable wrench, and a hammer. Good to see those "make do" skills aren't lost
An amazingly hard-working crew of craftsmen and technicians. What they are doing is also an artform that takes incredible skill, not to mention how dangerous the type of work it is that they do.
I can’t imagine if you take them to any shop in the USA .....with this skills mold them with how to do the repairs correctly and give them tools , and you get the best mechanics ever
You bring them here and the mechanics in the USA will lose their jobs. Those guys are not scared to get their hands dirty and work hard. They don't know what a coffee break is
@Cryptid Help yeah because they will also die in their 50s working insane hours no breaks and do it for slavery tier wages. Its GOOD that we are able to take breaks and no kill ourselves working in the USA.
6:40 they have a brand new leaf, they mess it up by welding on a reinforcement bracket. You don't weld spring steel. And you especially don't weld a piece on it to make a sharp transition between thick and thin material. It's a failure point now, mechanically and metallurgically. I guess it's a common failure point of these trucks. Welding a broken one out of necessity is understandable. Damaging a perfect new spring is just dumb. I get the feeling these guys have no clue what they're doing.
Come on man, give them a break. As you can see in the video, they might not have all the resources you have, so they do what they can. Even though you have a good point.
I doubt that was a new spring, probably just cleaned an old one up to make it look new. And I can't see those bronze bushes lasting long when the grease dries up.
Here in the states the DOT would be on a driver immediately with all those reflectors and lights....... great work guys love the videos and definitely love the colorful trucks
I would hire them all on the spot. These guys would put any tech or mechanic to shame over here.Could you imagine the weight of those two spring packs? And they do it all by hand.
Gosh, so many things to say about what these guys are doing and how they’re doing it. I lost count of my WTFs. But I’ll just keep quiet. It’s not my circus.
Welding with sandals. Machine lubricant application with a finger. Throwing all the parts in the dust. Removing the spring without securing the side of the truck. How are these guys even alive
Looks like hearing protection is a foreign idea to them. Not to mention OSHA would have a seizure seeing how these guys work. Like, "Oh, I have a welding mask right here in my hand, but I don't think I should use it while welding right now."
Estupenda habilidad de estos trabajadore, en la reparación de un sistema de suspensión de camión (ballesta), saludos y respetos desde Venezuela.💯💯👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Awesome! Different mentality. In the West, workers goof around. I bet these guys are way too serious and just want to deliver good work instead of nonsence.
