I cleaned my Map Sensor and Throttle body 4 days ago.,.. and my MPG went all the way back up and it really has a lot more power and instant response. I noticed the idle went up from 925 to 1,000. Is that okay? It's super fun to drive now... but I did notice the idle went up slightly... They set the Idle about 5 years ago. I wonder if they set the idle when the map sensor was kind of dirty? I also tightened the FITV about 2 years ago, again after they set the idle, put in new plugs, wires, air filter, gas filter pcv valve after they set it... but when I cleaned the Map Sensor and throttle body, 4 days ago, Holy shit! It has never ran so good. A lot more Power and immediate response... They set the idea at 925 for some reason. They kind of explained it but basically said it will just run better. Probably because it needed all that stuff to be cleaned and replaced and tightened up like the FITV... so is 1,000 idle okay? Other than that it's Awesome...
@@TONI5-25 Hahaha... OKay! Thanks man... she is running good though... immediate response now! hahaha... it's fun! Not a big engine but so much more power compared to before... And when I get over 4K rpms, she really starts to take off...
I had put in a new manifold and tb both bigger than stock my idles like 2k up and down like crazy I got a video on my yt up . I had cleaned the tps before putting it back on
That's insane!! I just adjusted the idle air control valve (IACV) and replaced the fast Idle valve after word and it pretty much fixed my idle it was below 1000 rpm.
500-800 is a bit low if you don’t consider the load the car will be on while running the lights and having ac like I do, it’s gonna stall the car..I know I didn’t show a clip in the video where the car was idling at 900 rpm after warming up. It took me a while to dial it in, but I basically cleaned out my throttle body and adjust the IACV some more. With the ac and the car on a load it would drop down to about 700 rpm
Aww come on man give me a break I'm still pretty new to editing. Beside I made sure to turn down the music really low when I had something to say in the video, but I greatly appreciate the feedback!!
