Quick tip for getting axles out when their stuck is an air hammer there’s a little dimple on the end of the axle use air hammer to push them out

Would love to replicate your RB20E. Legal title RB engine is very rare in Vietnam. I have a few of RB20E in my garage and 1 RB25DE. All other RB engine car like RB26 is illegal imported as far as i know

Those tri spokes would have looked good on the DCT S15 with pink accents in between the spokes Collete you know what im talking about dont you ! Would have looked cool on any of your cars !

I saw rotor housings in the wagon , what are those for 🤔.. Rotary 🖤. Always nice to learn a new chassis. As a mechanic , all the tricks of the trade blend together 👊🏼✊🏼🍻. Adam in his comfy 😮😂

Been waiting for work to commence on the r33. Super stoaked! Also, Colette, keep an eye on those rotors. They can be prone to cracking around the drilling points, this is why i opted for the T2 from DBA. Down for more r33 content!

I know people have already said it but being from the rust belt up here in Michigan you have to have pneumatic tools I know it can be a hassle wrestling around the air hoses but the Power they have is worth the effort especially when dealing with rust

I have found battery tools to far out perform air tools of the same size, and this is comming from a battery tool hater up until a few years ago

@@lockjawjak I agree with you some battery tools are much better. But as good as some of those battery-powered tools are they never seem to last as long as some of the high-quality pneumatic tools do. I love the convenience of battery tools and they are easier to get into tight spaces. I use both almost everyday but when I've got a job that deals with rust and I know I'm going to be working at that job using that tool for long periods of time and my compressors already on and running all day anyways. Pneumatic grinders, sanders, an impact and a Air Hammer are better suited. Definitely when getting an axel out of a rusted spindle. I know I have the consistent power without having to stop and change batteries.

Glad u didn’t snowball this project by powder coat all the arms rhino line the tubs, than before you know it you have a third full project car being built and just got it back on the road for now. And can project car it once the others are finished.

Not sure if its been mentioned or not, but if you can manage to stock up on the 5bolt pattern axles/diffs, they seem to hold up longer than the 6bolt variant from the Series 2 models. 👌🏽 Then again, upgrading to Z axles is the move. 🤘🏽

PB Blaster penetrating oil can be very useful when you have rusted/stuck bolts and parts

You didn't need a entire new drum brake setup, only had to remove the rear wheel bearing/hubs from the original rear knuckles and installed the 5 lug hubs into your original drum brake setup.

An air hammer with a pointy bit will get seized axles out of the hub. Put the pointt bit in the center of the axle and push in while using the air hammer. Way better than hitting it with a 5lb hammer.

Wow you took alot of extra step which was not needed ,for the rear all you had to use was s13 rear hub and swap rotor and caliper and you could kept your original rear parking brake setup

whats happening to the rb20e my dad also has a r33 gt skyline thats rb20e but his is down from the first cylinder so just be careful and put a electric fan on it because the fan can get unstable and break the water pump which makes the motor heat up on cylinder 1 and the injector will break and you will need to replace the piston rings

Use pb blaster rusted parts It would’ve been much easier I work on a lot of old rusted vehicles every day for a living and PB blaster is your best friend

Just watch out for those drilled rotors. ALL drilled rotors tend to crack. You should have got the slotted ones they make, excellent Aussie made parts. All Skylines sold here in Oz had 5 stud wheels AFAIK.

They don't stay gold, it's a special heat paint to help monitor heat, they change colour at a certain temperature..👌

Separating rusted parts, step 1, drown in wd40 or similar, go onto the next corner while it soaks returning periodically to re apply wd40

Collette, please get some Penetrating lube spray & pre spray your bolts (or anything rusty) the day before removal, lol back in 2001 in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec those were my faverate Rims in the Game.
