As good of a u-joint, front hub how-to video as I've seen. Excellant job of not making it look harder than it has to be.

Jeep buddy of mine said it’s a good idea to do a little grinding work to axle shafts to accept full circle clips. Do half moon clips have reputation of falling out

Nice job man! I installed those powerstop brakes on my TJ as well. No complaints so far. Look into doing the Grand Cherokee Tie Rod upgrade. Very budget friendly and much beefier than the stock TJ tie rod.

What year Cherokee do you get the parts from? I have a TJ and don’t want to spend $600 on the Currie upgrade lol Edit: found an article online with the Amazon link to what I need. Definitely ordering that now.

@ATEMOFFROAD
@ATEMOFFROAD 2 года назад
12pt socket, heat the housing holes not the bolts with map gas or propane’s, use breaker bar to release bolt! You Might even be able to do that by turning the wheel all the way over and access them from the back by the brake caliper to loosen them up before you Jack up and pull off the wheels. Good luck buddy thanks for watching 🍻

The Amazon link to the hubs says it does not fit the 2002 Jeep Wrangler. Also the U Joint says it’s for the rear drive shaft. I’m just wanting to confirm the links are for the right parts?
@ATEMOFFROAD
@ATEMOFFROAD 2 года назад
Thank you so much for letting me know this , as sometimes Amazon affiliates make changes on there end . I’ve updated the spicer front axle ujoints , as well as add hubs for 2000-06 year TJ. Should be all set! Thanks for watching I appreciate it

Ok. Now, What about all these Jeeps with Yukon Lockers up front !?!?!?. Will the Axle shaft simply pop out like this or ?????.
@ATEMOFFROAD
@ATEMOFFROAD 2 года назад
I think so not particularly sure on the front setups as there can be a few different variations, like hub locks etc! For the rear is a no , as you will need to un bolt the flange on the end to slide out the axle assembly. Thanks for watching 🍻

Looks like you used new grade 8 bolts for the diff cover? What size are those bolts? They thread into the housing with no tapping?
@ATEMOFFROAD

Yes no tapping , they are standard 5/16-18 grade 8 bolts I think they are 3/4” long 🍻

@@ATEMOFFROAD oh I kinda figured that. My other inner axle I couldn’t get the u joint cape to fully seat so I had to order a replacement. I think the ears might have gotten bent in a millimeter during removal of old one. Hopefully a new one does the trick. Thx for reply. When one buys a Jeep, one must anticipate that one will need to learn to work on it. It saves the money instead of going to mechanics down the line.
