Hey BBC, just a suggestion: When a video consists entirely of one person standing on a stage delivering their act, throw their name up there in the title. They deserve it. Thanks
Al Smith :: No she doesn’t. She’s needs better shows where her name is featured on the stage or the genius who put the video up needs to learn to include her name. Some comics don’t even say their name.
@@kimthejunglist We can agree to differ -- Although I will admit it would have been fairer if the video poster had include her name in the title, the idea of YT video titles is more about gaming the algorithm and getting clicks NOT promoting acts as far as the video poster is concerned... SO... when you are fairly new to the game (and your name is unknown enough not to cause any traction on YT yet!) it is an essential part of the process to make sure people hear your name well enough to remember it when they choose to view your act... Well established comics almost always do it (even though everyone knows who they are and paid to see them!... this is not an accident, they just know how the game is played)... Those comics who don't do this and need to rely on kindly folk to 'happen to mention it' in a comment stream on YT are missing an opportunity for self-promotion... and that is a big part of what becoming established is all about.
Al Smith :: How should the other comics, who don’t happen to mention their name like they’re using a bull horn, go about having their diction and annunciation corrected? :: I have heard Ali Wong, Whoopie Goldberg announce theirs at the end, but never Eddie Murphy or Kevin Hart have said theirs at all in their larger staged shows. I would love to know why her name was excluded. I’ve even seen lower tiered comics have their name in title whilst never mentioning their names in the clips.
@Rafael Acosta they said, responding to a reply from a girl with short brightly colored hair? Like, did you forget your wheaties this morning or are you always this rude?
@@banu0245 that's such a sucky attitude! I'm so sorry gatekeepers ruined that for you. People should do whatever they want with their hair. Also in what universe are being gay/bi and having kids mutually exclusive? I'm bisexual and my husband and I are trying to have kids right now, colored hair and all.
I love it honestly. Finding humor in sadness is sometimes the only way to truly cope and move on. It'a really common in fire/ems, law enforcement, healthcare, and military. Dark and cold to some..stress relieving to others.
As a youtube watcher, her awkwardness made it a little hard for me to open up... don't get me wrong, it was totally cute, and works out in the end, but my first impression was "hm... don't know if that gonna be good... get it going, girl! I don't care about your father's and mother's name!" I know. I‘m a monster. 😉
The most iconic performance of the Ian Peach thing is when she asked someone in the audience if they knew him and they did and you could see her have an existential crisis in real time
It's at Just Laughs Montréal, her first appearance in 2015 or so, if you do search. Now she's hosting the JFL gala (last night actually) and has a Netflix special, and her own show.
I met a girl off tinder last week, she lied with her hair and after it was too late (already in my house) told me she had a boyfriend of 10 years. The next day i told my friends and they all had the "she lied with her hair" response. So funny.
I can't stand girls who have boyfriends trying to hook up with girls like that. It's misleading and wastes your time. They should make it clear they have a boyfriend and are in a relationship.
@@SocialStoicRU-vid Exactly. I won't say Mae Martin's not funny, because Mae got laughs, but those people who misquoted Mae did Mae a favor because the "eating a peach" misquote is Mae's only joke, meaning it's the only thing Mae says that's constructed in a way where it's explicitly clear the audience is invited to laugh. Everything else is an unjoked premise. Twice Mae marked an unrequited desire to have received a vocal expression of audience sympathy, which made me think, "Yeah, the audience expected jokes, so no one's getting their needs met and you both deserve each other." I Googled Mae Martin after watching this video to confirm they're a comedian.
Tbh, Ellen has been attacked unfairly. She has sacrificed so much and now Trump's conspiracy theorists have been trying to take her down, along with other liberal celebrities.
As a straight person I'm wondering what the problem is with so many straight and gay people not being able to over the fact that bisexuals exist. And I'm not even one myself! I just always thought it makes sense to be attracted to both genders. It's just not how I turned out.
Lol 😂 Sending Canadian pride 🇨🇦! There was a bit of wobble to it with the audience reaction in the beginning, but I think that’s only because she looked so young at first glance. Excellent way to put everything together at the end though! Omg. Lol.
For all of my single peeps out there: turn the duvet cover inside out, grab the inside corners and hold them together with the corners of the duvet. After you make sure you're holding them tightly, sort of shake the cover on. It should flip over as it slides down. I hope my explanation makes sense. If not, I'm sure there would be plenty of videos demonstrating how it's done. That little bit of information changed my life 😁
No no no, you're supposed to climb inside the cover, struggle to find the corners, struggle some more trying to get them in the right places, then break down and cry. whydidyouleaveme ;-;
i love them sm, they're the first person i've heard talking about the intricacies of being bisexual and genderqueer/non-binary or more masculine and everyone assuming you're a lesbian in public and it's so !!!! (s/o to lesbians though ily)
this kid totally missed the real comedy that is looking at her in the mirror. That is she is in London, her mother's name is Wendy, and she looks like Peter Pan... The jokes write themselves!
Ed Slushie I mean I’m bi myself, and even I think she’s lying 😂 Like the t-shirt AND the hair? It great though because it can often be a bit confusing finding women, but she makes it clear that she’s into women at least 😉
Maybe she visited there one time....🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ just cuz her shirt says Colorado on it, doesn’t necessarily mean that’s where she’s from. As a matter of fact I dunno anyone who walks around wearing a shirt that says their hometown. That just seems really fuckin odd if u ask me.
I told someone about my falling out with a guy and he went "well two surprising things here. one: didn't know you were dating someone? and two: a GuY??????
My first girlfriend broke up with my telling me to meet her after school to talk. I had to get ride from a friend because her school was about 10 miles away. When we got there right as school got out she came walking out with a group of her girlfriends walking hand in hand with her ex boyfriend. She didn't even look at me but her friends were all watching me and giggled at my expression. I would have preferred she had done it over the phone with her friends laughing in the background.
I love ur "I dated men.. a collected group of very lucky men" - i will keep that in mind as a pansexuel person in love with one of the collected man of my life!
wait wait wait... they're wearing the same t-shirt as during the Montreal gig several years earlier. i mean, it is a very cool t-shirt and Mae is rocking it!
Okay, just binge watched Feel good in one evening. It's amazing I can't get enough of it! Can't wait for season 2 it's soooo good! I'm ashamed I haven't heard of her before.. But I think that's gonna change 😂
Is no one going to point out how funny it is that a comedian in England is from Canada but is wearing a Colorado shirt with an American man and a bald eagle?
⚠️TRUE FUNNY STORY: back in 4th grape, we were asked to create a team logo for an imaginary school in art class. We totally made out Team “THE PEACHES” with a juicy, almost anime, peach, drawn in sloppy color pencil. Come to find out, years later, we are SUPER QUEER 😉
If you haven't seen her on Netflix with her own show, "Feel Good," don't waste another second... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IA6zm_kt5iM.html
This was pretty funny, by a comedian I hadn't heard of before. Would've been great to get her name up in the title, to maybe make more people aware of who she is and how to find more of her stuff!
