What about the other type of plastic Levolor Vert. Blind end, with a oval plastic cover over an (unused) string wheel in a recessed cross, and the end of the turning rod, with a toothed lock washer on it? 1. What is the easy way to remove the lock washer, so that it can be reused? 2. How to I get the wand gear mechanism detached from the first blind post and out for inspection and repair? 3. If the wand won't turn at all, what is typically wrong?

Hi Susan, If the wand won't turn, that typically means that the tilt mechanism control is broken and needs to be replaced. There are many different styles of vertical blinds that have been made over the years and each vary in how they are taken apart and repaired. The best thing to do is send some pictures of your blind to us and we can let you know how to repair it and if parts are available. Our email address is service@fixmyblinds.com.

where can I get a string ladder that measure like 1 inch by 1 1/2 inch ...1 inch between slats and 1 1/2 inch width??...all I see is 2 inch

Hi JB: I'm sorry, but I don't know where you can find ladder for 1 1/2" blinds. We only have ladder for 2" blinds. I'd do a google search and see if any turns up.
