FJ Cruiser Hood Latch - Stuck Down - Fix 

I heated a flat top screwdriver with a torch and pushed through the plastic cover to open the latch. Great video as I never would have been able to do that without you!

THANK YOU! Mine was stuck open. I followed your instructions to remove the latch and found a small broken spring. I re-bent the spring and re-attached. Goods as new.

Hey this just saved me $150 in labour, tried to open my hood to refill w/w fluid. Saw the cable had rusted and snapped. Managed to get the plastic cap off through the grill and pop the hood with a long screwdriver. New cable is $55+thx and will probably take about an hour to re&re. Thank you for the video

Hi, Thanks for finding that third bolt! I couldnt find where it was, and your video helped me fix it. The little coil spring inside my release came loose and now I hope to fix it!

Hi, what size of wrench did you use for the bolts on the sides? I used a 10 mm for the one in the middle and it came out perfectly, but can't seem to find the right size for the ones on the sides.
