Cool video. You all work hard and deserve a nice rig like this. An idea for a future video is to take the FJ, a Tacoma, and a Tundra out to the mountains and show us the installed components in action in a real-world environment. It would be cool to see the benefit of going with added suspension over stock in action.

I have RCI skids too. At some point the transfer case skid will rub your exhaust crossover. I cut it out and did a drop pocket. Just like the drop under the front dif. I know this is an old video. But maybe this helps. Also I run 34 inch tires. A regear got 3 mpg back. Plus I can climb mountain roads again. I went 4.56. but I think 4.88 would be better. Nice build. Very similar to mine.

The gloss black roof looks fantastic. I love the white roof on my FJ. It reduces the temperature from the sun by a massive amount. My rabbit was 20 degrees hotter inside, than my FJ on an 80 degree day. I'm not a fan of the white roof as a style thing but it's utility is not to me proven.

Get the Sylvania 9003 (can't find the actual number) in the plastic case at just about any big box store. Installed on mine, no complaints, clean white light with good range. Worlds above stock.

Hey man i LOVE how your Fj is getting together really fast and with good high quality products! Congrats!! Quick question here. I saw ur rims are -30 offset and the 35s does not rub at all. Mines are rubbing a little bit against the body mount, and I did a pretty aggressive bmc. I have the 1.5 spider t spacers. Do u recommend just go to a -30 offset?

What are your wheel specs? Have your alignment dialed in with proper caster adjustment for clearance?

It serves the purpose that I am planning to use it for. Solid construction and ease of install got me. My stock rack was in great shape too. I added some quick “back to black” to give it some shine and didn’t feel like I needed to replace it. Thanks for your kind words!

Whats it like on fuel now. Ive only changed my tires and add roof rack and raised it 3 inches and a set of drawers in the back and im using 17lts every 100km. Im in Australia

I just bought a 2010 FJ after owning a 2007 Tacoma 6MT for several years. I can't speak for the lift/tires, but it seems to have way more power than the Tacoma, similar mpg. Doesn't really need a lift for my usage, I will say the thing is a complete beast in a foot deep unplowed snow! NO worries about getting stuck!

Yes, don't have to be lifted to fit the skids.

Depends on what you're using it for and how you plan to mod it. If its kept mainly stock, I'd probably going with OEM myself.

88ROTORS it has already some modifications, it has 3 inch suspension lift and 1 inch body lift, have TRD wheels with 285 KO2’s on it. Ok, I think I’ll go OEM. Thank you. I keep myself updated with your sick looking FJ!👌🏽

The 285/70/17 are slightly shy of a 33” while 35’s are 35’s.

Your rear door hates life with that tire on it. an extension plus the heavier tire has to be the worst idea ever. I don't think your rear window is operable anymore either. best upgrade to the 07 FJ Cruiser(07s only). switchblade key by far. lol.

I managed to hear the exhaust a bit on my phone, seemed to have more grumble at idle. Probably sounds like every other TRD exhaust system. The intake looks nice, I did a K&N drop in to stock housing seems to be working fine.
