Arty I don't comment on a ton of these, but I watch every single day and have for years now. I just want to let you know that I really appreciate the way you're building a storyline out of these games and referring back to earlier matches in the "series" to show the evolution of play. Really excellent stuff, please keep it up!
Artosis, please change the colors to red & blue when it is a mirror match. Approximately 9% of men have colorblindness, so it is very, very common. I have the mildest type of colorblindness and this is "yellow versus a barely different, slightly darker yellow".
The 'Flash re-learning the meta' journey feels the same as when you cast the 14 ladder games in a row series - not bored at all! Watching him catch up is really exciting
I've always felt that what truly separates the Serrals and the Flashes from the other top pros is their ability to (1) gain information and (2) know EXACTLY what to do based on learning information. There is no hesitation and no error in decision making. They scout better, they predict better, and they respond to perfection.
I still think one of the most impressive things Flash has done was reaching rank 1 on the leaderboard without losing a single game WHILE STREAMING. He went like 44-0
I challenge anyone remotely interested in SC to be tired of Flash games. TvT though, I can see that happening. Well, I personally just find any mirror kind of uninteresting I guess? Still, watching Flash is never bad even when, or maybe actually especially when, he's returning from a hiatus and watching a genius readjust to the new realities of the game seemingly with little outside consult.
It's funny how when Artosis casts without Tasteless, he sometimes throws in that "I'm not just making this up" kind of line, because it's just him and he has no one to back him up. And he's always afraid of that one commentor who shows up every 300 videos saying Artosis is exaggerating about Flash.
Flash seems unsure of how to navigate the current TvT landscape. Which feels weird because he can crush protoss and zerg consistently again, but terran is currently his bane. There's a lot of indecisiveness and fear in his positioning and move out timings, and they often look like he's flailing back and forth in how he wants to attack. That isn't to say his defenses against dedicated pushes is bad, but starting up siege mode when Rush is already well over three quarters done with the same research tells me that flash is either experimenting with a two base vulture all-in build, or there's some kind of pressure or stress to meet expectations that is self-imposed and it's not very healthy.
I'm glad Artosis is willing to cast these newcomers who arent currently in ASL This Flash kid looks like he could have some potential to make an ASL some day
Maybe it is the music, maybe it is the nostalgia of the siege mode sound effect, maybe it's because the games are long, but I love Ted v Ted. Thanks Arty!
Beautiful move by Flash at 9:45 with a fake move to the map center. I remember long time ago Jaedong had said that playing against Flash's M&M was particularly difficult because of many such fake moves.
I will always appreciate Flahs games, eh is still the GOAT even if he's not back to full form (and may never be, tbh, he's older and slower now). I just respect Flahs too much as a player tpo just ignore him. Do more Flash casts!
Hey Artosis - I watch all your games and sometimes with my kids. You've been swearing quite a bit in your latest casts. I've always liked your casts over your streams because they are cleaner and I hope you dial back to your usual standard. Thanks for your consideration.
