** DISCLAIMER **
This release of Quicksilver is still experimental flight control firmware. That means that you should exercise all caution when using it. While it shouldnt happen, a worst case scenario could be that your quad spins up all motors at full speed. So its probably not a good idea to use this for a 1kg+ x-class quad and go ripping it over people and their houses. Well not yet anyway.
Do hover tests in a safe place and be ready to disarm straight away if you notice anything weird!

Ok here is a quick tutorial for how to flash and configure Quicksilver flight firmware on your Mobula6. Finally you can have that NFE Silverware flight feel, with all the power that brushless motors give you! And OSD!
This is my very first time doing a video tutorial, so let me know if i missed something, or if you think it sucks.

Note that since the making of this tutorial, the parent project of NFE's fork has gone public. This will be the official home of Quicksilver moving forward:

Nice Dom! Two edits I'd like to add tho: 1. A stern warning that this is experimental firmware. Treat it as such and be responsible with safety procedures 2. You can edit your call sign (or any other setting) in the OSD menus. RRR is the gesture to enter OSD

just set up QS on one of my whoops, i could not get turtle mode to work, but i see i needed to change the turtle mode motor percent to 100, thanks Dom!

Hi found out not long ago that for F411 boards running 1s for the ESCs is Dshot 300 recommended. Else prop wash & etc. Take care 🤓😉😘

2022 flashing on Mobula6 FrSky: 1) Motors needs to be reversed: Connect USB -> Plug Battery -> Motors -> ESC Settings -> Load and "Reverse" motors directions 2) VTX shows up only as "TRAMP" protocol as opposite of "SmartAudio" and colors shows up weirdly on FPV goggles 3) I fail to arm the quad due to "Arming Safety" message on the FPV goggles

Interesting the motors needed to be reversed, but thanks for the info. The vtx showing up as tramp won't affect the colors in the goggle, this just indicates you are not on the right channel I think. The new mobula6 has openvtx which can do both tramp and smartaudio, but will autodetect tramp. On tramp 25mw is power level 3 (first two are pit, and rce). The arming safety mostly comes up if throttle isn't low enough (there are other reasons, but that's the main one for me). On the state tab, check your throttle position is registered as 0, you may need to change from AETR to TAER in the receiver tab.

Which betafpv silverware fc? Their recent firmwares/fcs are no longer silverware. If you are talking about their original 1s brushless silverware fc, it would be similar - it is based on the same silverware afterall

I have trouble describing it but it feels "smoother". If you ever flew a Silverware whoop, it usually takes a pack or two to adjust to Betaflight; it doesn't take any adjustment with Silverware -> QS (and vice versa).

Hey there, it's the camera that was on an Akk AIO which died (. I worked out the gnd, positive and video pins and separated it, and then used E6000 to hold it in the mob6 canopy. It's kinda heavy at over 2g, but the mobula6 doesn't seem to mind the extra weight. And I love the super wide FOV and night visibility

Hi, I've been trying to load quicksilver onto my moblite7 (non elrs). But I can not get it to recognize the onboard receiver. In setup tab I left UART1 as none and smart audio under UART2 (video and OSD work fine). When I go to the receiver tab it shows protocol as "Unified Serial" when it should say SPI. under status it simply says "RX_STATUS_DETECTING" and under serial protocol it just switches between all protocols (DSM, frsky,..etc). I tried plugging in lipo, and pressing the reset button, also tried to unplug and use the bind button on the FC board...no luck. I reloaded betaflight 4.3.1 and was then able to bind with no issues. Would appreciate any help.

In that dropdown where it sats unified serial, there should be some other options, select D8 (or redpine) from that. You may need to save, and reboot the fc after selecting

SPI flysky is coming soon, one of the devs has it working, just need to refactor the code and merge it in... There were some setbacks with hardware to develop it apparently

Remapping motors is definitely possible and quite easy. What do you mean by rotate the flight controller on roll... Do you mean flip the FC upside down?

At this point it does not support SPI flysky receivers. I had brought it up with the devs a couple of months ago but there was no progress that I could see. Recently the project has moved back to the master "BossHobby" repository so I will bring it up with the devs there again.

Hey great video! Just got my mobula 6 and wanted to try this out :) unfortunately the "command" to save the bind does not seem to work here... any idea why? Tango2 + Multiprotocol bay

So it switches to RX_BOUND under status? And does it actually fly? And you can go to the status tab and should see the stick inputs there

@@xnoux1 right stick up up up, then down down down timing done similar to what I did? I'm wondering if it could be a channel map issue (expects AETR) or endpoints (if you don't have 100% scale on your pitch channel)

Hey there Lazlo, the differences are in the flight feel. It's something I can't put my finger on, but it's different. It's not rates, it's not pids, and if you have flown silverware brushed you would know the feel :) This brings that feel to F4 quads and whoops (apparently that feeling can be experienced even on a 5 inch).
