Hi Tom. From watching your video, I bought these two pluots, Flavor King and Queen from your local distributor Raintree Nursey as a bare root. I current have them on 25 gallons plastics container pot. What is the best method to increase it growth so I can enjoy these amazing fruits? Pot or in ground? So for it has 3 to 4 feet of new growth and looks. 8' in total
Tom If planting ONLY one tree of Pluot, ( forget pollination, coz i have 6-7 different varieties of plum ) which one you highly recommend for an area which receives 500-550 chill hours ?. Thanks sandy
Hello, I purchased a Flavor King Pluot over a year ago in my local nursery. When I bought it, I was only a branch with a few leafs and by August of last year all the leaves fell off and just a week ago I noticed a bunch of white little flowers all over and maybe a few leaves. As I look at it I decided to read the label that came with it from your nursery that says "Pollenizer Required" does that mean that my tree will never give fruit unless I plant another tree of the recommended onea on your label? I'm not a garden expert so excuse my dumb question.
Waldo Sanchez yes, you will need another Pluot or some plums work, like Burgundy plum. Where do you live? Leaves tuning yellow in August and falling off might be from over watering, as the tree shouldn’t go dormant till later.
I have FK near some apple trees no fruits were set. Had lots of flowers. Do I need to plant Santa rosa or Dapple dandy or apple trees are fine. Your inputs are appreciated
The flavor king I have, the tag showed a deep burgundy flesh. But the flavor king picture in this has a yellow flesh. Is it gonna turn from yellow to burgundy?
