Both the Fleetwood Mac album pictured and Rumours had some classic songs. Great vocal melodies and instruments. Stevie always has a great voice. Fleetwood Mac also had another woman singer who most people overlook, Christine McVie. Try Don't stop or Say That You Love Me for a taste of Christine's voice.
The ultimate dynamic song to see Stevie and. Lindsey is “Silver Spring” - the live version from “The Dance”. It perfectly illustrates their relationship.
Silver Springs is everything! It nearly took me out (because I was cheated on) and saved my life at the same time! I only discovered the song during the week of the "breakup"! I was literally on the floor devastated! This song helped me get off of the floor a new person! It seems so long ago, but when I really look back it was only about 13 or 14 years ago. Silver Springs is everything to me!
I love how you turn your reactions into a conversation with us. I find myself nodding "yeah, that's right" and then feelin' silly cause you can't see me.
Do you ever try answering his questions to the screen? I do. I was like, 'Yeah. Abba. You're right." OUT LOUD!!! Thankfully, my family already knows I do this, so they don't think I'm any stranger than usual. LOL
That's why we love Jamel. We all feel like he's right here with us and we're enjoying things right next to him. He spreads much joy to us and us to him. Peace and love to all. Cheers 🥃
Stevie IS Rhiannon. Goddess of fertility, rebirth, wisdom, magick, transformation, beauty, artistic inspiration and poetry. Even in her 70s, she is still a beautiful Goddess.
Listen to the band near the end when Stevie Nicks starts rocking out, they build and build the level to create a once in a lifetime performance of this song on Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special in 1976. You have to watch it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wgmRb3MlpHQ.html
Lindsey Buckingham is so nice & down to earth! He was in my physical therapy classes. He took pictures with my 13yr old daughter, surprised she knew who he was.
OMG!!!!! This is heaven on earth!!!! Have loved Fleetwood for decades!!!! I know all their songs within 3-4 notes usually. Do more please👵🏻💗💖👵🏻💗💖👵🏻💗💖👵🏻💗💖👵🏻💗💖👵🏻
Rhiannon is a witch-goddess figure from Welsh mythology. Stevie tapped into her story when she came across the name, and wrote this amazing song. Stevie is one of the few pagans in rock and roll who is out and proud about it, and this song was the beginning of her journey to the Goddess. :)
Nicky Denning Never heard that they exist (out and proud) or never heard that about Stevie? Her ties to paganism (witchcraft/Wiccan) are part of how she ended up on American Horror Story: The Coven.
@@jpf77302 "Once in a million years, a lady like her rises. RHIANNON! You cry, but she's gone and your life knows no answer." GREAT LIVE VERSION - and Yes, this the about the Welsh/Celtic story of the Triple goddess Rhiannon. :)
Dear sir, I am a 70 year old Englishman and I would like to to thank you for playing and appreciating the music that formed my life. I include The Moody Blues, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Gerry Rafferty. In these troubled times cultural diversity has caused a huge amount of problems, fortunately music culture does not fall into this category.
I know most folks know Fleetwood Mac from the Buckingham-Nicks years from the mid 70s on but some earlier stuff still sounds great. Check out Oh Well; Hypnotized; Station Man and their great version of Black Magic Woman.
Did that song in my last cover band...I have loved that song since I heard it...So different than other songs they’ve done! One of their best in my opinion!
I'd like to say a big thank you for today. Even though I only discovered you recently, your glee at the music I grew up with has kept me from going too dark with my thoughts. Thank you ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Her voice was amazing! She was sooooo good! Gypsy soul. Saw her at sandstone when she released leather and lace. It was a full moon. Saw fleetwood mac at Arrowhead stadium and it was also a full moon. It really set the mood for their concert!
I was almost Rhiannon, after this song but my mother’s little sister had passed away and I took her name 😁. Love Fleetwood Mac ❤️ excellent reaction as always!
2 songs with stevie..."leather and lace" duet with don henley and "stop dragging my heart around" with tom petty...2 classic you and your fans would love your reactions to Jamel....rock on
Reminds me of my college days in Hawaii on the beach of BOUNDERS as this song bounded out of the big music box as we danced by the Fire on the beach..Sweetness!!
Great song! My best friend was named after this song. Her mom is a Fleetwood Mac nut. 💕 My mom told me she cried when Stevie and Lindsey broke up haha. Silver Springs would be a great song to do!
I saw Fleetwood Mac here in Ottawa, Ontario a couple years ago - one of the best concerts I ever saw, second to the Doobie Brothers concert I saw in Calgary in 1981.
@@julielovelace7189 I beg for your forgiveness, but I don't see how on earth I forgot about You Make Lovin' Fun. I haven't heard this song in years!!!!
This album/song takes me back to summertime 1976-1977. Rumors and the Fleetwood Mac album were played a lot by two of my older sisters and reminds me of playing in the yard and bike rides. Total summer music for me.
@@brucegrossman3531 I think this week during lock-down I will binge it. Be well ,, another TV related thing was Stevie's appearance on American Horror Story 3 as The White Witch
@@armchairgravy8224 I heard that in season 3 , the young actress that played the " Herbal " witch was a huge Stevie fan. They did not tell her Stevie was going to be on , so , when Stevie turned around that reaction was pure gold :) Have a great and safe day
Any of your Fleeteood Mac reactions should be from their live album The Dance!! I'm a heavy metal guy but The Dance is one of the best live albums ever!!
And for "Edge of Seventeen" - The live version from Chicago is excellent. It's a bit longer than the studio version - but the guitar work is phenomenal.
@@redletter2008No, not poor Christine. She was in the band first and Mck Fleetwood said he'd never have hired Buckingham Nicks if Christine wasn't comfortable with Stevie ( smart man) and by all accounts they get along very well. Actually, Christine McVee did write a lot, but she also sang some of their best songs. "Don't Stop (thinking about tomorrow)," Songbird ", "Hold Me" (I think this was mostly her and LB), "You Make Loving Fun" and as my new hero, Susan, reminded me, "Say You Love Me" And in my opinion, CM had a better quality voice; but Stevie's is one of a kind-- instantly recognizable and unmistakably hers. Lindsay Buckingham had the power voice and could fire lyrics at you like bullets. The combination was magic.
Fleetwood Mac is the vocal equivalent of Neapolitan ice cream - sometimes you prefer one flavor over another and sometimes you scoop all three up together. Either way it's delicious!
First time I heard this, I was on a 747 crossing the Pacific ocean from Seattle to Kyoto. There weren't too many songs on the play-list, so 'Rhiannon' came around quite a few times. When I hear those guitars, my brain fills in the sound of jet engines in the background. I told myself "As long as the music plays, the plane flies." I hated flying.
There's only one Rhiannon from me, midnight special Rhiannon live. My favourite song in the whole world. Stevie has been my therapist for years. I love you Stevie girl.
Had to see this one before it got blocked. One of my best friends who's no longer with us named his only daughter Rhiannon. This song always makes me think of him and the great times together. God Bless and Keep You, Walt. Love you, brother!
An amazing tune. Maybe my favorite Jackson Browne song. Deep meaning and personal after his first wife’s death. Of course used in “Taxi Driver” in that memorable scene with Robert De Niro.
my 4th favorite band and favorite song sung by stevie. the chain and landslide are also excellent songs. hell rumors was their greatest hits album imo. thanks for the walks thru memory lane for me
Seen Fleetwood Mac in concert in Cedar Rapids Iowa and I remember a young guy in front of me saying that she's trying to be like Michael Jackson lol. They had a small Arabian looking tent on the stage and she changed her outfit after every song. Fantastic musicians, love, love, love them 🥰
