This group came about during a time when bands weren't rushed into the market using technological "crutches" like today. Back in the 1970s a group had to have TALENT... to get a shot. Try checking out BOSTON and RUSH too
Something magical just happens when those two (Stevie & Lindsay) are together. It was almost as if god placed them both on earth to complete each other.
This video is way better than the "Official Video" of the song. One of the best partnerships in music. Lindsey's guitar playing has always been an inspiration for me to keep going in my guitar journey.
Someone told me that his style of playing is how you'd play a banjo? My grandfather played so I used to watch him, and Lindsey's picking style is much different. And to this day he remains my favorite guitarist of all time. He's amazing!!
I miss Christine here, but this is so sweeeeeeet. Lindsey and Stevie have such great charisma and chemistry. One of the top groups of all time, and Lindsey is a true musical genius.
It’s as if each individual here were truly meant to be together and produce music for the ages. We are all so blessed to have enjoyed Fleetwood Mac giving us their very best every time out. ❤️🙏
@@TheLizardWizard_the2nd Their relationship has ALWAYS been contentious; full of passion and full of angst. It's just who they are. And we are the lucky ones who get to hear the music that results. Only those two.
One of my favorites Stevie wrote. But it sure brings back some good memories where I really messed up. Thanks for the post. Roger Crowder in Burnet, Texas
This beautiful song was written by Stevie Nicks dedicated to Christine McVie, is on the left of Chrisitne the band, Stevie expresses here all the love and gratitude to Christine, who became his older sister since joining Fleetwood Mac This song belongs to the album "Say You Will" 2003, first studio work since the departure of Christine in 1998, totally extraordinary "that you love because you've become someone else in an instant Say you will, say you will give me one more chance at least give me time to change your mind that always seems to heal the wounds..."
meco wee I don’t know where you get that idea. I’ve followed FM & Stevie & Lindsey since the mid 70’s...I’ve been in the Ledge & BuckinghamNicks chat rooms (among others) & NOWHERE have I seen anyone say this nonsense!
She wrote these for Lindsey, she told him and he was happy, you could tell. Documentary of the making of the album. Thrown Down is sad. Everybody Find's Out, etc..
Tennessee PATRIOT Wtf you talking about? What did I say that was wrong? I know for a fact Say you will is NOT about Christine. That’s all I said! So eat shit.
Tennessee PATRIOT Thrown down isnt sad! It’s acknowledging the old barriers are gone & that maybe now they can be together! If Kristen hadn’t shown up pregnant they would have rekindled their romance. Which is where Destiny Rules comes in...
To bad this CD came out right as the ITunes and downloads were taking over . Say You Will is a masterpiece. The songs Stevie and Lindsey produced for this LP were some of the best ever. Just a great listen from start to finish.
That Solo.. 🥺💙🎸 any man that’s truely loved someone can relate to that 💙 a ex partner was always part of your lives for the good bad or ugly nice to jam out after everything 👏
That whole guitar solo is worth the price of admission...even though they have had a love-hate relationship, you see love in those looks between Lindsey and Stevie, and part of me is almost screaming "Kiss The Girl for heavens sake!!!!!" Stevie has only gotten sexier with age and Lindsey is the epitome of cool IMHO...The only thing missing is Christine because she got more beautiful with age too...and I miss seeing and hearing her. FM forever!!!!!! Thanks for the post!
I will!!! Oh Stevie and Lindsey have such sweet chemistry! The top band of all time!!! I cannot wait to see them live now after watching this! Thank you xXx
edken252 It was much more than a fling. They performed together (and were a couple) as Buckingham Nicks. Fleetwood Mac invited Lindsey Buckingham to join the band, but he wouldn't without Stevie. The rest is history. If you notice, they always look at each other during vocals.
edken252 They are both now married to other people, and MAYBE the looks have to do with harmonizing, but I see something there, too. Wonder how their spouses feel about it? The album "Rumours" was about Christine and John McVie and Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's relationships falling apart at the same time.
Stephanie Nicks is beyond stunning,,, she is a "hot" really down to earth woman,, great singer and awesome band leader in charge of most in what the bands decisions are,,, what women can lead as this lady? She speaks,, the rest jump and dp what she says,, the success of its longevity
That is such a bittersweet moment where Lindsey tears it up on guitar while Stevie looks on. The glance they share says "Ahhh, what could have been can never be again."
This is a beautiful song with Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham. They knew one another while in High School. That’s how they met. Imagine that. What a lucky 🍀 thing to happen.
What a CLASS Version of a Brilliant Track! I'm caught between this track and "I'm so Afraid" which was also recorded in Boston! Poor Lyndsey really does not get the credit he truly deserves for his Guitar work! Absolutely Outstanding! Thanks so much for Posting this. Really!
their grasp of the american song book, all genres are attainable. It is gratifying like folks like mac, bruce and others are going back to the basics, the folk routes of American music.
The nice part about this is that it is the 2000s and they for the most part have let bygones be bygones - and they are ALL back together again. Latest I heard is that they are all working on a new album with Christine McVie also writing music, playing keyboards, and singing again. One last hurrah for the band that started in the 1970s.
Not for sure, but not many keep recording beyond this point in their lives. Getting all of them back together on a few new songs will be amazing as it is.
While that is true, most of the material is from previous albums that was never released. I believe Dave Stewart of the Eurthymics produced one of the most modern sounding songs on the album... I heard it and it sounded pretty good.
Ostseehalle, Kiel, Germany on November 16, 2003 was hard to follow due to tears in my eyes. I will never forget it. As they prepared for one song it was so quiet, you could hear a needle drop. Then a guy shouted from the back "STEVIE ! MARRY ME!" The whole place and Stevie burst out laughing. What a fantastic evening.
Stevie Nicks just gets more beautiful everytime I see her. She has captured all her demons and her will to continue is inspirational. Love Fleetwood Mac!
The concert live video of this tour is so amazing -- but breaks my heart because they didn't film Sarah. there was some tech problem and they missed filming it.
There will always be a strong and special connection between them until the day they die. They always make me smile even through the sad songs. I'm so glad they have found some healing and can once again make this terrific music together.
