Excellent information and succinctly presented. This is the first of your videos I've seen but notice this was posted almost 6 years ago. I hope you have continued to create videos. I would welcome access to the way your mind works. Thank you.
hi, thanks for this lovely and encourging comment. I have of corse some more material to post but unforetuantely, i have absolutely no time at all to do more than i do actually. As always, i'd like to do more than the planning allows me to.
Awesome ideas and I love the changes you’ve made to Ron P’s original workbench idea, for the Festool router table and cms. Exactly what I wanted to incorporate both of them too, but I will put the whole bench as 1 not as 2 halves and add a frame with a lower shelf and have it all on wheels. Great work, thanks for the inspiration.
your welcome.. it was my case as well as i saw ron's videos. please share some pics of your build... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-20jL4R1u-ZI.html the Video of the whole build.
Hi Patrick, I’ve decided to make it with the 2 part tops as you have done but all on a wheeled frame. I’ve made the cms router insert hole today, tricky trying to get the rebate lip and rounded edge as per the cms table. Next is try to add the cms table saw and sliding table. I’ve watched your video on your workbench build, do you have a video with more detail on fitting the cms table?. I see you made a box for it to sit in then that’s supported by the tubes. I may have to do the same unless I can fit the pipes into or through the cms base itself which would be preferable. One question on the cross cut jig, why place it over the insert plate. Surely it would have potential to be cut into?
Hi.. happy to hear about your plans... sent me an email to patpen@pt.lu and i'll sent you over some more pics of my build i hope you do so as well so i con may be give you some tips.. For the router, i didn't make a lip... was just cutting out the whole thing... more pics of that as well if you want..
Very interesting project. Most of the audio is better than your earlier Paulk project assembly video, but this one did have a little fade-in problem at the end.
Great video. Subscribed. Can I ask what/how the fine adjustment bolts work? Are they to adjust the fence side to side? ie. fine adjust the tape markings? or are they to adjust square to the rail?
hi, I noticed that adding the fine adjustment is not too relvant. the guide is too long compaired to the Festool MFT and the gap in the Festool fixations is too large to du unveryfied cuts. this brought me to always verify my settings with a square before clamping it down. the Festool Mft is 77cm large. my bench is 120. only one mm gap on each side provides a very large differance.
Hi, i'm no shure what you mean... the Festool parts from the MFT where you put the guide on?? if so, i could sent you some more pics of it... i'm not shure that i've got enough material to make another video. Don't hesitate to sent me your email adress. but check out that video below.. may be more details on it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-20jL4R1u-ZI.html
