Yeah most games carry over mechanics from others of the genre if you play cod you could likely do decent in an overwatch match if you do well in kof you can do decent in streetfighter. I think that's one of the great things about fighting games is that once you play one you can pick up another and since sajam is very good at SF he can combo in this game quite easily
He meant he didn't have a combo for the corner. He had already labbed out that combo for midscreen. I don't know how long it took him, but definitely longer than shown on this video.
I like how the character movesets are half made of weird in joke memes. Sajam is going through Botan's movelist, and she's actually a pretty consistent character, but then he gets to the shopping cart and I can't imagine he can think of any explanation for why that's there lol
@@snowys4168 There is an animated skit that the main hololive channel uploads every sunday called Holo graffiti or Hologra for short. The skits can be anywhere between batshit insane to actually coherent. The shopping cart in question is from there where Botan shows up riding one into the office. It shows up again on few other episodes.
@@NotASuspicousPerson Even though the shopping cart you're talking about here is a reference to Botan's Trials phase, I agree about Holographitti. Most of the time it feels like I'm watching a fever dream and I have no idea what's going on.
Its just being carried by the fact hololive is huge. Of course content creators will make a video on the thing about the thing with millions of viewers

It’s crazy how I’ve been playing this game since day 1, and mained Botan the whole time, yet Sajam went into practice and learned better combos and pressure than me in 5 minutes.
Every other fighting games share move sets or inspired that if you've been playing a variety of FGs and trained with it for a considerable amount. The experience easily transfers even when switching to new games.
I saw how you just casually and effortlessly did the botan combo then you went into online and i really thought " this guy will obliterate that yubiyubi guy lmao " But nope that korone user is goddamn good too. I feel like out of place seeing this high tier fights lol. Im just here being the noob i am.
The sound design of this game is pretty crispy. Setting aside the voice lines, you got some nice stuff like Ayame’s light normals unsheathing a sword and Botan’s grenades.

So I was messing with Aki and she's got a fastfall so you can do like instant overhead into a left-right and there's got to be a setup with Miko assist to lock down wakeup options. This game looks sick
yo so you can like launch into air combos and then cancel into the fastfall to land and continue the combo and on wakeup you can left-right depending on how many teleports you want to do. Still in the hitting buttons phase but Aki is dope
Miko isn't worth for Aki imo. You don't need her assist super, 214M oki is broken because you can left/right mix-up with tp. Roboco is looking like the best one rn because you can instand overhead into robobeam or faint tp during mukirose oki and combo into robobeam. You can also use hidden missiles diring her lv2 super to extend the combo and in some situations you can force an unblockable reset.
Now that i'm seeing such a long vid of this game, i really kinda vibe with the artstyle - it reminds me of all the Pokemon fan game sprites that look just like this, but now with even better animations.
I do watch some hololive I'll admit, but the best part about this game on the player side is (like all hololive fan games) is that Cover's policy means the game is completely free, just like Holocure. Yeah Vtuber fans are wild
@@addminustraitor8514the same trick fansubs used back then (don't know if they still used it today). while it seems free, some get money from adlink, so just by hiw many people click to the download site already give them money. but they don't charge you directly casue majority of them driven by passion, and in some way much better than some legal offical subs.
@@MozeXI Guilty Gear ain't broken, this game has some SERIOUS jank going on with a lot of weird inconsistency. It actually gives me more Nitroplus Blasterz/Dengiki Bunko Fighting Climax vibes with the assists... I think Million Arthur has a similar assist system? Or was it Koihime Enbu?
Coco was the most cultured early Hololive talent, ez. Yakuza lover, meme connoisseur, speaks both English and Japanese (and definitely swears most in English, as expected). She was a real one, definitely half the reason a ton of us Hololive fans ever went down the rabbit hole in the first place lol
Sajam's unapologetically American pronunciations are really funny to hear after having been in the rabbit hole for so long. Bo-tahn, Sooysay, Koh-ronay, Ahkee, Foobooki, Aye-yamay.
I know absolutely nothing about any of these characters but they tick all my ADHD boxes. I can’t get over the UI of this game (more specifically the end game screen and how the notifications mid game are donations, love shit like that).
I saw that and decided to learn it last night. Took probably an hour for me which is sad, but I am pretty bad at learning new combos. IDK how long it took Sajam but longer than it showed in the video for sure.
I'm glad to see, how FGC players can honestly enjoy this game despite being non-vtiber fans. It just shows the devs were aiming to being not just a fan game, but a good game in general as well.

There are actually several references to and moves taken from older fighting games. In terms of mechanics, I like to think of it as a combination of Guilty Gear and Marvel VS Capcom, with a bit of 3rd Strike thrown in. Speaking of the latter, you never utilized Miko's lava bucket assist; it's basically a nerfed Aegis Reflector. It doesn't reflect projectiles, but it's excellent for corner lockdowns and potential crossups.

I know barely anything about Vtubers, but Botan is definetly my main in this game. That wall bounce is so satisfying, also her normals are easy to confirm into combos due to the long animations, which my poor old man reflexes are thankful for. Also also, love my characters a little gimmicky with a bit of zoning and/or grappling.
Depends. Are you willing enough to check out streams that are usually long at awkward timezones? Are you willing to endure high-pitched loud screams, games that you might not like, languages you might not understand, and subpar (most of the time) gameplay? It's not really for everybody. But thankfully now vtubing is humongous and you're sure to find someone you like, be it on YT or Twitch.
Even if you don't have time to watch most streams, or timezones etc. to check your favorite (oshi), you can just skim tiny parts of clips from clippers.
i think this game shows how much joy fighting games can embody when everythings is crazy and weird with characters people are invested in, and i think the fact that its fan made and free adds a lot to the quality
The game is super good, it only need some small fixes (clarity on assist vs super, order on the command list, having to use Input with S and the other buttons is confusing, etc).
Maybe in the western side? Bcs when I watch a lot of JP streamer, a lot of them love Sora and Fubuki so much And holy shit those Sora plays is actually so frickin scary, stuck at the corner and you actually can't get out (unless you have burst or use Korone lol)

If it's about balancing, I think a LOT of people is actually agree on Suisei and Aki are actually Broken level, the only problem Ayame has is she can't really get in against zoning character (that's what the streamer I watch says anyways),other than that she's a pretty straightforward brawler...I don't know what to say about Korone but I find her user quite a lot when my streamer plays online so I don't think she's that bad either Yes I don't see a lot of Coco and I do think she's pretty weak against other, but I just kinda assumed that because she's a grappler? This might only be my careless thinking but does other game Grappler character find a lot of plays? Bcs the only other character I can think of is King from Tekken lol, but I don't think it's a good comparison to this game Sorry for the Essay btw
