These videos gave me the confidence to tune my own honda. Now my turbo gsr EJ rips, it blows the tires doing 55mph in 3rd at only 10lbs of boost.

I learned there you want your power to occur 16-18 degrees after TDC no matter the load. Also recently learned that 70% of the combustion heat is absorbed into the engine block through the top compression ring alone. That sort of blew my mind TBH.
If it weren’t a crx you could k swap it fairly cheap. If you can find a base RSX at the junkyard they have just about everything you need to swap one into a EG just short of the k pro and mounts. If you dig you can find eBay mounts for about $125.

Now this is the hunter I subscribe to...ur rambling has good info.. not complex..straight to the point..I tuned my first car because of you..d15b7 10 psi at 16.50 degrees of timing on e85 and it lasted 6 months..now my question is..this new build still a d15b7 with 10.5 compression on e85 stock bore..do you think it’s safe to run that high of compression on 16.50 degrees at 10 psi...and do you have any tips on tuning high compression turbo
Make sure your timing is synced to the computer and run it a little richer. If you were 11.5 with old setup run 10.8 afr with new setup high comp maybe pull 2 degrees to be extra safe

Awesome stuff!!! So good! So im curious for say pump gas 93, timing would say to start at 33 for out of boost (or 30) and 26 coming into boost and ending at 10 still?
Gotcha totally get that since pump gas is never trusting Haha... so timing wise that sounds about right then? Just probably end around 12 degrees or a little more since its not way up in boost? Thanks again!!
Rather if you want the turbo to spool faster its better to retard the ignition in the low map when it starts to spool than be running at MBT. So yeah on a turbo car you dont need to push the timing in the low map high collums.
If u are serious about k-swaps get a traction bar that will work with a k-swaps other wise u will have problems....same for h/f swaps crank pullys like to hit them bars lol
