The rubber ball in the skimmer trick was such a face palm moment for me. Like, why didn't I think of that? I'm interested in upgrading my pool hoses and adding the valves like you did. Thanks for a great video! Subbed and 👍
This video inspired me to try this. My 25' of flex pvc finally arrived today and I'll be installing it tomorrow. Like your setup, i also have a salt chlorinator. I look forward to more tutorial videos from your channel.
Life saver. I have the same filter and salinator set up and getting the right fittings to work with flexihose has been tough. Question though, for the reducer coupling on the salinator, do you glue those pieces together?
Your video is so helpful. We are struggling with a new pump (delivered today. . .100 degrees!) that has a coarse fitting into existing fine thread fittings. Can you come and fix it ?! Not sure we have service to go along with the sale! So hard to find help with ATG pool around here. Thank you!
would a 6 inch flex hose be long enough to heat up get a coupler in between 2 hard pipes that have no flex?? I currently have a rubber boot like your showing with clamps in between two hard pipes. Not sure if it will hold it's on a hot tub plumbing under high pressure
I noticed your aquapro filter. I have the same. What cartridge filter do you use? Do you use the filter sold only by the pool factory or do you use an alternative filter? Thanks
Hi Danny, thanks for watching. I’m having difficulty cross referencing this filter. If I go through The Pool Factory, it will cost the most. If I cross reference and go with another type, it may not be as good. I actually plan to get a backup in the off season and may go with the direct replacement from The Pool Factory.
@@bigalsabovegroundpooltips6887 Thanks for the response. Yes it is the most expensive. Which is why I have searched around. I also wanted to explore options and judge the quality. No luck yet though. Please keep me posted if you have any luck with an alternative. Stay safe
@@MrDannyc724 I have a Pentair PLM150 cartridge and those are $250 and up, so I just went a bought a used Hayward Perflex DE filter for $150 now I'll really have polished clear water.
Thanks, I will next time although each system will be slightly different. Listen to the video again as I’m pretty sure I describe the fittings I used for this application. Thanks again for your suggestion!
@@SafeTravelRV I noticed cables attached to the skimmer and something attached to the outlet. Never seen it before? Nice video by the way, I think if you add more tags you will get more views. I just stumbled accross your video on related videos but had exactly what I was looking for.
I need to make sure that my new pool pump not to be stressed due to differential in level between old n new pumps, I used a Nuprene rubber with stainless sheet shield Coupling with Supreme GE silicons Sealant n worked great.
