This is a full tests of the capability and of the portable power station
The unit is claimed to have 555Wh
I connected:
- HP Laptop 50W
- 32" TV 65W
- Android Box
I ran the unit and the full run time was 7.5 hours from start. About 75W per hour.
You could easier use this unit for load shedding, camping and power outages.

Hi there. Thanks for the video. How is this power station performing 5-6 months later? Are you still getting the same use out of it? Also are you using it daily because of Stage 6? Any issues?

Hi there. I use the power station everyday. I mean… every single day. Mostly in the evening when I put the TV and watch. It is still getting between 5-6 hours drawing between 65W-75W using a 50” TV, Android box. It’s been really consistent. At night when we know there is load shedding, then we run a fan on the power station throughout the night… effortless. We used it camping over the holidays and charged it using municipal and from the Anderson plug on the bakkie. I’ve really tested and use it everyday. As said in the video, it’s not a sponsored product and I wanted the test it properly and with the latest LS schedule, it’s been tested hard. All good so far

Hi. Thank you so much. What solar panel would you recommend for charging it?

Hi, its recommended to use the NAMIB-150 FOLDABLE SOLAR PANEL BY FLEXOPOWER. They also have a NAMIB-240. Both are foldable. I got my unit from Diesel Tech in CT, (not sponsored) and this is their website dieseltechstore.co.za/product/150w-namib-flexopower-solar-blanket-including-10m-extension-cable/ They also did a review on the solar blanket here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WoPKDdbBpZE.html

@@taicoproductions Have you heard of anyone having trouble to get the unit to charge from solar. I bought everything and the unit charges from mains but not from the solar panel.
@taicoproductions
@taicoproductions Год назад
@@AninaLonte I have not heard about any issues with the solar charging. I have charged mine, using mains, Solar and 12v socket from vehicle. Could you try the 12v cigarette lighter and see if it charges? If it does, it could point the issue to the solar panel itself…

But how has it been for you? What's your opinion of it since using it. We would like to use it for loadshedding - running a few lights and TV. More importantly, the company says that you can change out the battery at the end of its life without having to buy a new complete unit. You can buy the battery from them. Have you had this and what was your experience with this? How much was the battery if you did that change?

I've been using it now for about 3 months, and it has been really good. As you may know, loadshedding (LS) remains a challenge and we are getting at least 2 hours of LS per day. The unit has performed well. During LS, i run a 50" LED TV, android box, and a few lights. drawing between 65W - 95W. With all running, the fully charged unit runs for between 5 - 6 hours. It's not a UPS so can't automatically switch over when LS kicks in. Its handy that it's portable and we have taken it camping. The battery at the moment show no signs of degradation (3 months of heavy use) and it was one of the selling points to be able to replace the battery when the time comes. I can recommend. Hope this helps

Did you buy at Dieseltech Bellville? Can you buy at the shop or is it only online?

how Long did you charge it for with solar and house outlet
@taicoproductions
@taicoproductions 10 месяцев назад
In the box, it had a charge of about 23%. It took about 4 hours to charge fully to 100%. Usual rate of charge is about 93W. So, if the unit is completely flat, charging at 93W x 6 hours = 558W ... approximately...
