Nice video. It might help to mention in one sentence what those operational modes are, ie one is autoland will track the centerline and the other mode does not, hence a 50’ DH is required in case you can’t see the runway, at least in a Boeing this is the case. Also it might be helpful to stress that max taxi speed in these conditions is 5 kts for most operators, right? From your video we can see why, lol. Cool new name for your channel 👍🏻
Ronald , great Video what I would like to know is what your Flightplan looks like when you fly and land on the same Airport . I just can not get the Programming of the MCDU right.
Didn't know QFE procedures were in use in the US, I thought it was all QNH. Where do you get the QFE setting for a runway? Also, isn't it a missed approach height rather than an altitude for a QFE procedure?
..nice video's! I have been practicing missed approaches to the published hold with the Toliss A319. I move throttles to TOGA, flps, gear, then on schedule. The FMGS shows the hold in the flight plan, but it doesn't get depicted on the screens. I am in managed mode pushing in knob, light illuminated. Sometimes I see the MAP track depicted with a dashed line. I try re-engaging heading to NAV,,(pull, push)..no sequencing. Do I have to disengage the autopilot on the miss? It seems to fly it fine staying engaged throughout the missed procedure, pitching to the SRS speed(green dot, flight directors on). I move throttles back to CL mode on command at acceleration height...any ideas?...thanks for all the shared info-
it can be a number of reasons, mechanical failures, or disagreements between both autopilots. In the sim world, pretty rare unless your flying something with a fault capability such as the Toliss 319. I had one IRL which was caused by a Radio Altimeter disagreement under 100'
Dam B I’d love too but unfortunately holding in the FF320 causes an automatic CTD, I’ll be adding it to my Pilot series in the 319 so you can see the procedure, but yes word of caution inserting hold in the FF320 will crash your game
I have a question or more a problem: If I do an CAT3 Dual approach, I do everything you did. I turn on approach mode. I set flaps to full lower landing gear. Then Press LS button. The aircraft pics up the Localizer and establishs but it does not establish on the Glideslope even though it was shown blue on PFD. Any tips? Or does anyone see my mistake?
Thanks to you Ô great 320 Eagle from ex 172 Mosquito! Question: Why most of real pilots like you never erase the F-PLN DISCONTINUITY from the flight plan ? -06L
Unzip file you downloaded - Place in "Aircrafts" folder of X Plane 11 - Load up X Plane 11 and FF A320. Once loaded go to the tablet to the right of pilot and connect GPU. Turn batteries on and enter the key you purchased in the FMC - Follow instructions. Done!
