Marty! Hope you are doing well. I want to thank you for being an encourage a part of my training. With your help And others on RU-vid I got private in May and now I have the instruments done. Now I am doing commercial. Thank you so much again. Still would love to go the Catalina with you when you got some time. 🙂
Hey Orlando! Congrats on getting your instrument ticket. Amazing, you are moving right along. Maybe someday you'll give me a ride in your Learjet. Sure, We'll work on that flight somewhere, even if not Catalina.
Thank you Marty. It’s a PC12 first. Then something from Gulfstream. That is the plan for now. I go north a lot for training all the way up the NVY and Santa Maria really wanted to see how to get into Catalina as I wanted to go there with friends but wanted to go first with something experiences there first.
Marty Mitchell I went to Catalina Saturday. I went with my instructor. Marty would love to fly with you some time. I can be reached at (619) 488-1731. If you can shoot me a message. We can chat a little when you are free.
I am sure am liking it. Did the Skylane checkout, also more than 50% complete with IFR. Next to commercial. I want to fly to Catalina as well, but I need to first go with someone like you who knows it very well there first.
IR is much work, if you are available I would love to go with you. I fly the Skylane as well. you could show me the procedure. actually just coming back from El Monte LA in the 182T.
Hey Marty, this comment has nothing to with this video but I just wanted to say it was cool seeing you fly your plane today at Montgomery (KMYF) in San Diego. I was there on a my lunch break noticed your plane parked, then a bit later taxi out and take off while I listened on my radio. What a small world. It would have been nice to say hi, maybe next time. Its like you're famous :).
Hi Chris, pretty small world, especially with RU-vid. Sorry I missed you. Would have been fun to say HI. Were you eating at Casa Muchado? I flew in today to meet a friend for lunch in North Park. Are you a pilot?
Casa Machado has been one of my favorites since my parents took me there as a kid, but I did not eat there yesterday. I was just sitting in my car watching planes. I grew up in North Park and moved back into the the neighborhood a few years ago, lol. Lots of fun new planes to eat in the area these days. Thanks for the reply, can't wait for a new vid 😊
I forgot to answer your other question, no, Im not a pilot. Always loved aviation, wanted to fly, but never made it happen. I "fly" a V35 on X-PLane if that counts, lol.
