Hi Jennifer, So glad to hear that you are OK! Sorry you had a family emergency but I’m glad it was not your CRPS. I consider all of us CRPS survivors family and it concerns me when someone is missing in action! Thank you so much for your content here. It is relevant, hopeful and informative! Welcome back! Christine
As a former football player dealing with CRPS I really enjoy your videos. Not a lot of information or Doctors around me. I’ve been battling since I was in 4th grade.
Hi Jennifer - I am a fellow CRPS warrior and have been watching your videos for many months now. I finally bothered to subscribe, mostly because I wanted to post a comment to ask if your OK? You were posting videos each Wednesday and haven’t for three weeks and as someone who also suffers from this disease I’m concerned about you. I miss your videos but mostly I hope you’re OK.
Joy, thank you so much for checking on me....you're so sweet! I really appreciate the concern. I actually had a family emergency, involving one of my children, that consumed my focus. Things are getting back on track and I'm getting back to life now. Hopefully I should be back to posting weekly videos very soon! ;-)
Yes, please let us know. Maybe, how you felt whilst you were inside, how much did your pain levels decrease, how did it compare to your first time, etc.... I have been watching you for a long time and I find that your content is real, researched and very helpful. A few things are not available in Australia but is still good to hear about them.
Sophinx, thank you so much for the kind words. This was very relaxing I've done it twice. The best way I can describe it is feeling well rested or how you might feel after a massage. At first I felt pain while in there. I think because theres nothing else to concentrate on, but the feeling of not touching anything and floating in water helps you to relax. I wish I had one at home to do all the time. They are a bit pricey to do, like around $60-70/session, or else I would do it more often.
May I ask what this cost and how often they suggest CRPS patients should go? I was diagnosed just three months ago after six long years of testing horrific pain etc. I have it all over in all limbs both feet both hands I’m not doing well at all 😪
I am so sorry to hear this but am glad you finally got a diagnosis. It takes an average of 5 years for the typical person to get diagnosed so you're not far from the average. I look for groupons for these float tank sessions because they can be pricey. It costs around $60-70 per session. Any sessions can be helpful The float tank businesses recommend in general that you go 2-3/week but I can't afford to go that often. Even the 1st trip for me was effective. If you don"t mind me asking, which state you live in....possibly I can refer a CRPS specialist to you.
