Ricky’s Rabbits Lichenstein I think is the same. Canada’s province BC is actually higher at 19. Go to Europe and the eastern countries though? *Every other country* it’s 14 or 16.
I am so sad that I missed the CD boat for so long. You are such a brilliant person and I admire your skills and talents so much. Being smart is one thing. Showing that you're smart is another. But making smart entertainment that shows you're smart and your smarts while making others smarter... You are one of the purest gems of the entire internet.
Sage Leaf I know I’m late but that’s an adult joke for the age of sexual consent in the USA implying that mr. flare did something very wrong with an underage girl and got caught
That is clearly an appealing to a higher authority logical fallacy .... clearly a half silver guy in a track suit is has more trustworthiness than a guy or gal in a white coat or with a stethoscope around his neck. 😁🖖🏽
You know, I really wish you were a TV program in several channels so that more people could see your content and actually understand what is right from wrong... You, sir, are awesome.. And I'm pretty sure you know it
Yes, but you can question SO many things until you become a gullible lunatic again: "Earth is round... or is it??" "Vaccines are good.. or are they??" "Space is real... or is it??"
Getting a TV show on any network would ruin his creative freedom and in fact be incredibly detrimental. He'd never be able to make fun of CNN like he did in this video in a million years. I realise this comment is old but that'd be a horrible idea.
You are so talented, informative, and hilarious... I love your work and what you represent! Thank you for doing what you do! You put so much effort into this shit!
This guy is literally smarter than everyone I know Edit: To everyone commenting about how he's not actually that smart but he just knows a lot about this one specific subject. Yeh I know so please stop commenting the same thing everyone else is.
Yes, that's great. I'll definitely do it too if ever. *But not too much* to the point that they'll question & disbelieve everything, even the obvious. The worst case I could imagine is them becoming like the annoying cyberbullies festering on the internet, usually targetting science and educational videos, dwelling mostly in their comment sections, preaching to everyone like holy enlightened so-called "real scientists" on why everything they believe & watch is BS.
Captain D, I love you, sir. I say that, because you embody *_everything_* investigative journalism is _supposed_ to be... you ask questions, you doubt (but don't shut off the possibility completely), you ask _broader_ questions beyond the obvious (is it a mirage? what type could it be? let me stay on the concept of mirage without asking anything else...) I love your videos, I love what you do, and I love your brand of humor. Please, please, please, keep doing what you are doing, it is awesome.
It's just that we're probably not as sensitized to bad journalism because there aren't a lot of those back then in RU-vid. Just random fact videos and game playthroughs.. now we have all kinds of breakdowns of bad journalism, video essays on games, books, or films, and actually well-made and researched documentaries on all sorts of stories or history.
I found this guy a few days ago, and I am honestly not sure why he doesn't have at least 10M subs by now. I'm not just being nice and naive, I'm serious. This is way better content than most things, and It's very original, and stands out. Plus, it's obviously made to be entertaining to kids. It's also very educational in a great way. Put everything together, this channel should be huge! ESPECIALLY for how long it's been around.
He doesn’t have more subs bc he doesn’t post anymore, sadly. There is more debunking to be done in 2024 than in any year I’ve been alive- but it’s difficult to not be political in the debunking so perhaps that is why he’s not doing much.
This episode being made in 2015 is way ahead of its time. Little did anyone know that truth would come under attack several years later and the commentary on political ramifications is so currently relevant. I salute you Captain!
you probably never search for them you should subscribe to people who share these stuff and its the opposite for me I stop hearing about s video once cp debunk it Gj
Hey, Cap...I love your videos. They're done really well and I hope one day people will have a little more common sense. If journalists put as much effort in their articles as you do in these videos, people would be less stupid.
I find it really, really curious and strange that for a decade or two now, people have been so accustomed to CGI, that they dismiss _everything_ unusual as CGI, even things that are not (both in fictional movies an in home videos)... Except in cases like this one. For some strange psychological reason many people do not immediately jump to the "it's CGI" assumption, _even when it's right_, like here. I don't really understand why this randomly happens.
+WarpRulez When i hear "CGI", i tend to think about professional work. Maybe that's the problem? People have yet to realize that anyone can do CGI the same way anyone can become an artist, by putting effort into it?
+WarpRulez Some people are so desperate to believe... Like this channel mentioned in the video, "paranormal something-something". Videos of clearly bad photoshopping discussed with completely straight face as proofs of aliens.
+WarpRulez As Darth says, some people are desperate to lighten up their lives with some delusion. I mean I can't exactly blame them - things like floating cities or islands are fairly popular fantasy tropes. I can certainly see why some people can look at planet photos and think they're CGI, we're not used to seeing them. But then again, when Thunderf00t did his mercury (the element) video in slow motion, the mercury itself "looked CGI", so it really hit home how unusual things never 'look right' to us.
I was scared about blue beam being real and he talked about it for a moment but didn't debunk the whole theory, come on guys, make Captain debunk it. It's going to be the debunking of the decade!
If the Earth was flat, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now. There. Debunked. Anyway, that's not a video. Captain Disillusion debunks fraudulent videos. Not stupid worldviews. Look to the youtube user "logicked". Warning though, it's pretty boring, he picks the craziest most incoherent people to pore over in detail.
From the year 2021, It seems like this guy was trying to warn us about what was going to happen from the year 2016 on. If he truly knew, he would have just shook his head in shame.
Had to come back here 7 years later because I just saw Ancient Aliens on the History Channel and they have a segment on this exact floating city and they claim it is a flying city from another planet...lol... so I came back to watch this video.
That last remark about the importance of getting things accurate when reporting about science and politics is chilling after seeing what is happening during this pandemic.
Aww man, I wish I found this channel when I first started watching RU-vid. I suppose 15 years late is better than never... You're the best, Captain Disillusion.
Captain D's comments from 2015 about journalistic laziness and incompetence are even more relevant today in 2021. Unbelievable has never before been such an accurate term to describe our "news" organizations.
Capt.D. he is able to actually explain in a very intelligent scientific way that sounds more credible than even real news... let alone fake news and unfortunately there it's a lot of fake news
I'm flabbergasted by the low sub count. This channel's quality deserves much more. Kinda typical for the modern world. Mediocrity is hailed, quality is underrated.
I'm starting to think that captain disillusion is part of the scp organization and is "debunking" these anomalies so the foundation has enough time to sack them
So basically this video is: Just because you can recreat it with photophop it means it's fake. Wow genius lmao. It was LITTERALLY filmed and photographied by dozens of peoples in 6 differents countries in a week but yeah sure it's fake because "i CaN mAKE iT oN PhOtOsHoP" what a fraude.
I rhink the most famous fata morgana is the story of the "Flying Dutchman" myth we have here in Cape Town South Africa. The common illusion of boats flying above the horizon create the legend of a ghost ship carrying lost souls... cursed to wander for eternity, never finding land.
For those who think this floating ghost city is a fata morgana mirage, like okay of what and where? because nothing anywhere else around resembles it and how long exactly was this sky metropolis supposedly visible and it still might be real?
Wicked Potato, well it’s easy to fool parents who never grew up with technology. My parents included. It’s all good though, they’ll probably share it on Facebook but we’re here to tell them what’s really happening.
