The fact that we’re finally getting a full set of an ACTUALLY good looking AND ACCURATE Mark V just makes me so happy

I have to say, it is such a relief to see legit the entire Halo community come together and agree that this update is pretty cool.

You can see a halo ring in the background of forbidden, so it’s most likely set on Delta or even Zeta halo

After those copy right wins and then 343 putting in the work on infinite, it’s great to see a complete mood change from you, Happy to see it

The Flood are returning! Not in the way we expected, but in an amazing way we would want!

*For the love of the Forerunners I hope they bring Halo Wars Mark 4 and also the Halo 4 and H2A Flood Spartans as more Flood customization!*

I'm pretty sure this is the first time IN THE SERIES that we're getting a Mark V set of armor that's a true one-to-one recreation of the CE armor. Really happy to see that, finally

I've actually never been this hyped for Halo. 343 picked up the ball and are making a sprint for the touchdown. Finally.

This update is going to be fantastic. The Mark V looks FANTASTIC. There's a season 5 gameplay video out that shows the full suit with a white coating, and it is perfect. Well now we also know what the Flood sound effects must've been for.

It's so refreshing to see a positive take on this game. I've barely touched infinite since lunch but I'm excited to come back to it and see how things haw changed over time

Forbidden is on Detla Halo. You see the ring in the background. Also the Flood armor is all Mark 5 B. I am glad that more armor is coming to that core, which may be based on the concept images from Reach.

Season 5 is shaping up to be a banger of a season and where infinite will start gaining much needed traction. Think of it like a Track marathon. Season one was the start of the race, halo was in first place and everyone was cheering it on. Season two was when halo tripped and fell down. The other racers started passing it and the viewers cheer for it died out. Season 3 was when halo got back up and continued running, but at a much slower pace because it is still a bit hurt from the fall, season 4 was when halo started getting back to those higher places within the race. The viewers were regaining that hype and cheer for this racer. Season 5 is when Halo will be back up at those higher places and probably get back on the podium for this race.

I love that firefight is coming to forge and all that. It's going to be so fun to just do firefight with the amount of enemy variety and interactions I can't wait what other spins the devs add to it

Now we just need some playable and customizable elites! Also I think its a bit of a loss to not allow us to have customizable chief armor pieces. I get it, he is a iconic character, and no spartan can ever really be chief, but his halo infinite armor is so gorgeous, just let me has!!!

The halo 4 flood still gives me nightmares

The Flood helmets are unlikely to be attachments, the flood bits are literally breaking through the helmets causing the metal to be shattered and warped, changing the base helmet model. Its more likely that they're just 5 variants of existing helmets, like how we have Emile's skull helmet and the base version separately.

I think recent events show just how badly the hiring freeze was holding 343 and Infinite back. Almost as soon as it ended we're suddenly getting everything we've asked for.

Cross-core helmets is extremely easy but certain things like the shoulders at least will be more difficult. Not only you got to do it for each core but you got it. Also do it times two.

Am I the only one? When I saw the flood armor, I knew that it was more a cosmetic armor and not a actual core because you can tell that it's all on the same set of Mark v B

The mark 6 kit is more similar to the noble team kits but instead just replaces your spartan with the chief it looks.

With a CE Chief coming soon, I need to ask, which Mark 5 do you guys prefer as the default, cannon design? Personally, I prefer the one we got from Halo Reach.

The grapple hook inffected animation is really cool for how small of a feature it is it really stood out to me.

I’ve noticed in the past two seasons the multiplayer has been improving greatly, I haven’t played in a while because until recently I didn’t have the storage for the updates but I’m still hoping for campaign dlc which is what I care the most about

I think we actually got our first look at the mark v core all the way back in 2021 when the 20th anniversary art was showcased which displayed ce Chief and Infinite Chief back to back fighting the covenant, flood and banished . The mark v armor looks more like what we saw in the trailer rather than the actual anniversary game

I'd adore it if the Forgers make maps based on some of the fights in First Strike.

Came back halfway through this season. Immediately grinded out the S2 pass in a couple weeks thanks to Squad Battle, Husky Raid, and Fiesta. The changes being brought with Reckoning are amazing and I can only imagine how satisfying it will be to finally throw the ODST helmet on Rakshasa. Thanks for the great video, keep up the amazing work, glad things are finally on the up-and-up!

I have a lot of negative opinions on Infinite But here I am, actually intrigued enough to load up the game again next week when this drops. I could use a small break from Baldur's Gate 3 to shoot some grunts.

The Flood stuff could be equipped like prosthetics, in which case it’ll be one type per Core. The UI has been reworked so it’s probably a separate customisation slot now. A lot of Coatings are now cross core, too, which is nice because half of them have been crosscore in Season4 just not available for the other cores for players yet. Nice to finally get that. Pretty much everything from HaloLeaks has been correct, the rest appears to be Season6, which is great since we weren’t expecting everything on the list to be touched at all. Great to finally have Forge AI, a lot of us have had maps built/rendered just waiting to throw the AI into and publish. Just need to play around with the scripting

Best part about forge ai and campaign recreations is people will make a better halo ce anniversary than 343 released (I know 343 didn’t make the ce anniversary) but with the mark v core and the forge ai we will get a faithful to the original remaster from our own community

It looked like all the Flood customization was for the Mark Vb though the death effect was on a Rakshasa

00 I'm so happy you mentioned the battles from within the Halo lore. I'm a pretty good forger. Don't currently have any maps in MP, but I did build the pelican prefab used on the Valhalla remake. All that being said, it's been my mission to create maps based off of the battles from the books, most notable: Operation Prometheus, Pegasi Delta and the battle of Onyx. I've been waiting for certain things to come to forge and with season 5, I think I'll finally be able to get started.

2:59 There's also the Flood Infected Spartans from Halo 2 Anniversary's Infection mode. Maybe the 'Flood infected' aesthetic could be an armour effect?

the flood customization cant be attatchments, the rest of the armor has bits of biomass on it too. the armor coating part and the undersuit.

I hope the Flood infection items get descriptions that are written to sound like the Gravemind is talking to you.

In my honest opinion I actually think that this might be some kind of new armor effect like the judgement flame or the halo championship effects. If you notice, the armor itself has the flood goo on it, not just the armor pieces. If it isn't a new core which I'm 50/50 on It's gotta be an armor effect or some kind of new extra option that we've never seen before when customizing our Spartans. I could see it being a core because all of the infected spartans are Mk Vb but I don't think 343i would essentially re-release an existing armor core.

Recently found a video on UNSC protocols for a flood spartan. Maybe infinite wi have us face the flood and some spartans get infected in campaign

H2A has Flood infected cosmetics like that!

The Kotaku article and the footage from the IGN Season 5 gameplay confirm that forbidden takes place in a Halo ring, so most likely Delta Halo. Some more customization I'd love to get would be Halo Wars' Mk IV (too gorgeous not to get), Halo 4/5's GEN2 (not my favorite but lots of people like it and it's always nice to have more options), and the '99 Macworld demo's Orion armor (maybe as attachments for the Mk V). Also, seeing as we're getting Reach's Pilot helmet, hopefully we get the Haunted variant as part of a Halloween event.

I really hope they put the Mark V armor as a reward for beating campaign on legendary, since there’s nothing for that now.

I always loved the Halo 4 flood design. I'm glad I don't have to play MP anymore because i can only stand it for so many games and Forge looks cool but making anything in it is so tedious and difficult imo so props to everyone who can make stuff in it.

My theory on how the flood stuff works: The textures are apart of the shaders (forget what they’re called and im a destiny player) separate armor pieces but the helmets are attachments for certain ones, at least for 1-2 helmets on each main core

I almost feel like having Flood stuff as normal customization options rather than a core works out better - that way you can make it look like your guy is flooded, instead of just picking from a handful of mk V and mk VII armor bits

Funny that they said a lot of these things weren’t on their list of updates they planned on adding like the armor core switching, but after 2 years of their neglect it’s suddenly making an appearance lol

There's going to be all sorts of stuff I'm going to be doing with the AI in Forge and the customization with the new stuff for the Spartan is going to be great

I have played so little of Infinite not because of the lack of content or because I hate the game in any way, but because in recent years I have stopped playing pvp almost entirely. I don't know if it is that I don't have the time or the patience anymore but I just don't feel the appeal. Now with the AI in Forge, which is something I have always wanted to see in Halo since Halo 3, I feel like I can finally go back and spend some time making my own mini levels and adventures. Hope this season delivers in that regard.

To discuss the Flood customization. Almost all of the Flood armors are shown on Mk5b. Suggesting it could be a core, however some angles suggest it's a mix of Mk7 and Mk5b. I'd argue it might be an Armor Effect, similar to the Flaming Helmet, or the broken Halo

Wish they make the next part of the campaign 😢 I been playing halo since day one of CE and the campaign was always my favorite part.

Im not a fan of the armor effects in general but my lord those flood bits look TEMPTING. Im really excited for the AI in forge. Both to mess around woth and see what the community does with it.

As someone said here, would be best if it launched with a chunky, fulfilling Campaign DLC! + bring the Bandit and flamethrowers etc into campaign/ mp aswell. Would also be great to have Flood mp where you see DYNAMIC infection by flood infection pod forms = tentacle sensors sprouting infected/ Halo 2A infected spartan/ elites and infection spore forms giving infected with no such things/ Halo 4 Flood mp spartans. Please 343 DONT Teenify and gut the horror the flood brings due to catering to the masses and parent brigades!!! Do the Flood justice in the most gruesome way possible! Oh and an ODST/ Marine Flood survivor horror spin off game! We fans and surely you too 343 devs WANTS that 😁

Controversial take here but the armour from halo 4 and 5 should also be added as cores into halo infinite.

I could see gloves and knee pads going cross core with canon cores, but armor pieces would not mesh well honesly.
