A simple yet delicous little cookie. Sweet and nutty they have a lovely crunch. A layer of chocolate adds another dimension to them too.

Oh these are the best ever ever ever... They remind me of molasses chips... a nice candy from a very popular candy shop called See's Candy but that is a candy not a cookie ... I just enjoy this treat so much Thank you for showing us how simple it is to make!

Hi Julie-joy. Thanks very much. I have had See's chocolates in the past, from a friend. But I haven't tried the molasses chips.

Well GEOFF I can tell you.. They ain't gonna last 2 minutes in this house I don't know about 2 days they are super sweet treats for sure... ...i surpose you could add cherries and dried fruit to the mix to make them more healthy 😂🍒❤️

Hi Henrietta. They don't tend to last long, for sure. You can add dried fruits etc, as you mention. Lots of recpies do, and make them nice and chewy.

I’m going to try these with desiccated coconut instead of almonds (I’m mad about anything coconut!). They won’t last long in this house either, in fact I might have to hide one or two for myself before others get their beady eyes on them🤤. Nice one Geoff 👍🏻

love they dont have flour as I always look for gluten free options

Hi Lynda Jane. I did see several recipes that used flour, but I think they wouldn't be quite so delicate. These are good as a gluten free treat.

I'm thinking that these would be great with any kind of finely chopped nut. My favorite is black walnut.

Hi Patricia. Yes I think any nut would work quite well.
