Hi Don , when I was a kid my dad had an international tractor with the start on gas and switch to diesel. I'm sure it was a WD9. I actually drove it a lot and did farming with it and we also used it for baling. I always enjoyed the switching of the 2 levers to get it running on diesel. The day would not have been long enough at the Flywheelers for me I'm sure. Will probably not get to see it but would really like to. Thanks for the look and great job on putting the video together. Hey Dale. Too bad, its really a great show. I always love the sound of those when its dead cold out, sub freezing, and you finally get it running and warming up on gasoline. Then the big switch over... The flub flub flub grunting to a pop pop pop of diesel. Wondering if its gonna make it, The heavy grey smoke belching skyward until the governor kicks in and brings the idle speed up and it finally settles toward a good diesel idle. It really makes your day. Don
@@russellhunter6341 Hate no.. The 240 was a little bouncy in the field compared to the long wheelbase Cadillac like ride of the H, but for barn work it could turn on a dime and would run through the woods like an ATV. It had its place for sure. Also did nice side bar cutting work as well.
The engine is an International, they were used on the old dozens. They were designed for cold weather starting. The TD 9 was a 4 cyl, the one on the Jeager compressor was a UD18 which was a 6 cylinder. The heads were a problem for cracking, if not shut down right.
