CHARI! What a great flosstube! Can't wait to see your nectar one. WIP parade in thinking! You've inspired us. Also I think you did a fantastic job in the description box. I can't tell you how much ppl love to be able to click and go find a pattern. Leo it up girl!!
Oh thank you! I was not looking forward to trying to find all the links but I know how helpful it is and how much I also appreciate it on other videos!
I really enjoyed your video, I stitch a lot of charts the same as you, I enjoy the smaller charts. It takes a lot of time to cross stitch and with smaller charts I feel like I accomplish something. I too love Hands on Design. Each year I have to stitch 11 christmas ornaments for my great neices and nephews. Another reason for smalls. I too watch Nichol and Chantelle great people to watch for inspiration. I look forward to watching your 2nd flosstube. Thanks for sharing.
Very well done, Chari. Thank you for sharing with us. I too like stitching just to stitch as it is a calming way to end the day. One of my stitching goals for 2024 is to make some progress on fully finishing. Your clean and simple finishing is beautiful. Hope you continue sharing with us, but most of all find joy in your creative time. Happy creating ❤
Small stitches are the best, I feel more accomplished. Even with the big stitch I could do small sections and feel like I was making progress! Thanks for watching!
What an awesome video! Loved seeing all your fabulous stitches from this year! Sat with my coffee and some fill in stitching and was so inspired seeing all your makes. Made my morning!
OMG!! So many cute things. I have some of those same patterns to stitch and now I am inspired to go ahead and stitch them. Love everything you showed. Also, I loved that you are stitching on 14 ct Aida. Please continue your floss tubes. You are so inspiring and sweet!!
I loved watching your first solo floss tube and enjoyed all the smaller stitches. I do not have a lot of wall space so I enjoy doing all the smaller pieces too. Looking forward to #2. Thanks for sharing.
Yay! I do not have alot of wall space either so I have to make smaller things and figure out different ways to display them that is not just filling my walls.
Great first flosstube! It is nice to see another lugana stitcher. I feel we are under represented in the flosstube world! I do also have some Aida projects, but I love lugana. I have been working on 32 for about a year and I think that is my sweet spot but it definitely took a while for my eyes to get used to it. Once again great first flosstube I’m so glad you listened to @NicholSpohr
I was not sure I would ever try something different than Aida, but I have grown to love Lugana. Not much desire to give linen a go however. HA! 32 is a challenge for me but I plan to try more on 32 in the coming year. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing your progress! So inspiring as I haven’t cross stitched since I was a girl and am just getting back into it… so much has changed!! Fun! Look forward to you sharing more!
So much has changed! I started when I was a young girl as well. I only remember being able to buy dimensions kits and there was white and ivory fabric and that was all it seemed. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed watching your video. Beautiful stitching! I love the way you showed your finished work with the camera focused on your table. Melodie.
Wow! So awesome! I am so slow with my stitching; I am stunned by how productive you are and how beautiful your stitching is! Can’t wait to see your next floss tube! ❤
Your video popped up in my video this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed it! I love all the smalls!! I will be turning 60 this year and am contemplating starting 5 smalls a month so I can have 60 in a year. Seems overwhelming, but now I know it can be done! 😉 I am with the other commenters that it would be good to have tutorials on finishing techniques. I love the style of the FFOs you shared. Happy stitching, and thank you for the video!!
60 smalls the year you turn 60 is an amazing idea! And it can totally be done as you can see. I was so close to 60 finishes! I will be sure to film some finishing tutorials this year. I have lots to finish as you can see.
Okay - that did it - I’m now completely inspired to get back in the groove of my first hobby love of stitching. I started stitching in the late 70’s - yes, I’m of the older generation! I have cabinets and drawers full of pattern books and kits; stitched pieces but not framed; and plenty of works in progress. It all took a backseat when I discovered scrapbooking and cardmaking. Now, thanks to both you and Nicole, I realize i want to make time to include some stitching in my day. I adore the smaller projects as they seem more doable (at my age.) I would like to see videos on how you stain the wood and assemble the finished pieces as that is a stumbling block for me. You are a true inspiration - thank you for sharing your talents and gifts.
Oh yay! I think there is room in our creative lives for both paper and floss! I hope you do pull out the old projects and pick them back up or find some new smaller ones to work on. I like smaller ones because I feel like I can see the progress much faster. Also, they are cute! ❤ Thanks so much for watching and letting me know you would like to see finishing tutorials in the future. I will make a note of that. I don't like doing anything too complicated so I try to keep my finishing pretty easy and I think anyone can do it. Also, staining with ink I already have is a no-brainer right? Thanks for watching and for your kind comments!
Sue - I too am an older stitcher and came back to cross stitch during Covid. There are SO many new designs, linens and floss it will blow your mind (in a good way). I would recommend a good light (I have an Ott light) and some good readers - I use a 6.0 reader found on Amazon. Good luck if you venture back into cross stitch - it’s so much fun.
I just found your flosstube and I love your parade of finishes! I enjoyed seeing what you stitched, as I like the same style of patterns. Your fully finished objects look so professional. I look forward to your next flosstube.😅
Congrats on your first solo flosstube! Your finishes are amazing. Last year was also my first full year back in stitching after a long hiatus. I am a slow stitcher, but I was pleased with the 9 finishes, several being Nichol's SALs.
Thank you so much for this! I mostly do smalls, I’m an instant gratification kind of girl😂 I watch all these wip parades and I’m like no way I’m stitching the same project for 6 years🤷♀️
Me too! But my sister is the opposite, she will start a ginormous project but she also has completed some pretty big ones too. I just like the quicker satisfaction of a small stitch.
Yay Chari! I loved this video and seeing all of your stitching! I have followed you for a long time as a Lawn Fawn fan. Excited to see all of your stitching. Have a fabulous weekend!
Wow these are awesome! I stopped cross-stitching about 20 years ago due to a love of scrapbooking and card making. I have recently gotten the urge to cross-stitch again. I would love to see videos of how you complete your projects as I fear mine will end up in a box because I don’t know what to do with them. Thank you for sharing!
You can totally do both! I have had lots of comments asking me to show how I complete some projects. I will really try to share that in the future. But do it for the love of stitching, I have plenty still in a box. But I love stitching them and that is what matters.
So glad I found you channel Chari!! I had the buy the honeycomb Aida !!! Like you I love small pieces. I’ll be watching all your flosstubes for sure :)
What a neat variety of finished (or mostly finished) projects. Really enjoyed seeing you like to pick and choose parts to make an image work for what you want. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
So nice to "meet" you! Your stitching and finishes are so lovely! Thanks so much for sharing!! I look forward to seeing more of your work! Happy New Year!
I am a follower of Nichol's and she took me back into the stitchy worlds. I found you through her - cardmaking ... but I am so happy to see you - well more than your hands. Hahaha. I have been working my way through the HOD Season 2 and put them on and off Chantelle's 141 On the Edge display board. Super fun to decorate the little space below
Great flosstube Chari! I watched one with you and your sister and thought you were fab! So go to see you also including solo videos. I look forward to watching in the future, your stitching is beautiful!
Such sweet monthly stitcheries! The sheep virtues are adorable too! I am stitching "Do everything in Love" right now... great idea to add the button! I love the Winter Dear - the ornaments on the antlers are so cute!
Thanks so much! I love the sheep too. I'm excited to pick them back up this year. Yes tiny heart button for the "i" for the win for sure! ❤️ I love winter deer too, it has a fun retro vibe!
Wow - amazing projects! So after watching both Nichole and you, my tote of old, unfinished stitching and patterns is calling to me…maybe 2024 will be my year to stitch!
Hi Chari. I loved watching your flosstube today. so many lovely projects. Thank you for showing all of your lovely stitching. Would love to see how you finish some of your items.
What a great flosstube video, Chari! I'm so inspired by all your projects. I love the smaller ones because I would have a hard time with starting and stopping projects without finishing 🤣. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful projects with us!
So many beautiful projects! And the way you have finished them is so cute. I would love to see a video(s) of how you turn them into ornaments or mounted them on the wood pieces, etc. I also love your card making videos. You are so talented. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing such beautiful stitching projects. I learned to cross stitch when I was pretty young and did it through high school but stopped in my 20s. I would love to get back into it and you have inspired me. I can’t wait to see what you make this year.
Wow! That’s a lot of finishes. Your stitching and finishes are absolutely beautiful. I need to start doing more smalls so I can see that I am accomplishing something. A lot of my projects are big. Great first FlossTube, looking forward to your next one.
Wonderful video! You are very brave putting yourself out there! That’s not something that I’ve been able to do. I wish you luck and I’ll continue watching.
I'm late to the party Chari and just fetting to watch your videos!! It's my goal to follow you along your FlossTube journey! You're one of my favorite people!! Love your stitiching!! ❤
So happy to see another smalls stitcher! I love all your pieces and as a HOD fan, am inspired to take the leap this year to do the FQShop Season 2 stitches. I have floss pack, but put it off last year. ❤
I love HOD (in case you didn't notice 😆)! The Season 2 was so fun and I love the FQS colors. I did struggle at first to find a fabric color I liked (at the time I only stitched on aida). But once I did and started stitching I loved stitching them all. ❤️
I have happily subscribed to your Flosstube! It looks like we have similar tastes in smalls so this will be fun. Your finishes are beautiful - please consider filming an FFO “how to” in the future?? I’m sure I’m not the only one with stacks of finishes waiting to be an FFO!! 😂😂
Thank You! I will consider an FFO video in the future, I think I might do it differently than some videos I have seen. You are not the only one with a stack and you are not the only one with this request!!! 😉
Lovely video, and you did it on your own, very good job. For not stitching for very long you have completed some beautiful projects. You’ve got me motivated now to finish some of my stitching. See you next time.
Congratulations! I have been stitching since 1980, and I am so impressed with all your stitched pieces. They are beautiful, and your finishes are perfect. I hope you will continue to do individual flosstube. Questions: What is the name of you and your sister's channel? Where did you get the beehive fabric? Where did you get the 28 count Wheat Lugana? Your video made my day. Thanks so much. I would like to watch you and your sister together. I'm not a full cover stitcher. I like to say I don't have enough time left for such full cover projects, but I think I would get bored more than any other reason. I'm like you, some larg-ish pieces, but lots of smalls.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video. My sister's RU-vid channel is www.youtube.com/@SassyStaci The Beehive Aida Fabric is called Berkshire Hive and I found it at Fat Quarter Shop www.fatquartershop.com/berkshire-hive-14-count-aida-18-inch-x-27-inch-cross-stitch-cloth (it also comes in a 28 count evenweave) The Wheat Lugana I found at 123 Stitch www.123stitch.com/item/Zweigart-28-Count-Wheat-Lugana-Fabric-18x27/123-7541Z I will be posting a video with me and my sister hopefully tomorrow. we will share it on both channels. But please do go check her channel out, she has been doing flosstube for awhile, this is her 7th year!
What a great surprise, to come home from work to a Chari Moss Flosstube!! Welcome and thank you for sharing! I saw several designers and charts that were new to me, so shopping is in my future! 😁
I really enjoyed your video and am impressed on how much you accomplished in 2023! I was a cross stitcher many years ago and lost interest in it and even got rid of all my supplies. It was Lawn Fawn, Spellbinders and Waffle Flower's stitching dies that got me stitching again and now I'm slowly building up my stash. I've always enjoyed your card marking videos and now looking forward to additional cross stitching inspiration. One more thing: as one sausage dog lover to another, more Scout pictures, please! She's a cutie!
Very impressive stitching year for you. I remember talking to you last year that we both only wanted to stitch Aida. You have really branched out in fabrics and fabric count. I did the same last year. I think I like stitching on 32 ct now. I was always so scared and intimidated by the higher counts Nicole had a lot to do with me trying the different counts from her floss tubes. I want to try 36 ct and 40 this year. I can’t wait for your next flosstube!!!!!
That's Awesome! I don't think I am ready for 36 & 40 but who knows! I never thought I would branch out from Aida but I did! Good luck and happy stitching!
I love all of these finishes. I hope you do a video on the small Christmas rounds and the pere noel I would love to see a video on how you finished them. They are so cute.
I will keep that in mind if I do another circle finish. Unfortunately those were already completed before I knew people were interested in finishing videos. I do have more circle projects for the holidays so I will jot down that a finishing tutorial is requested. Thanks for watching!
I love your months cross stitch. Could you please show how you attach the finished cross stitch with a backer and stuffing! I love the idea of making them interchangeable on a board!
I loved seeing all of your stitching and FFO’s! Your Christmas finishes were amazing! I stitched a lot and finished things in December too and it was so satisfying! One of my goals for 2024 is to keep up the FFO-ing. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!
Here from Nichols recommendation!! 🤩 I remember her mentioning you many times in her videos. Welcome to Flosstube!! I love your presentation and your stitchy projects are so cute! 🩷
Chari, Thanks so much for sharing your lovely stitching projects. I don't do cross stitching but I do needlepoint and I love to see any kind of hand work. Your projects are very inspiring and I may have to consider adding cross stitching to list of things to do.
I am with you about the hands-on design seasonal ones. I liked the second season better! With the first group I only did January, February and April, but I do plan on doing all of them of season two.
Yes. I may to back to the others but as I went I liked them less. I like some months better than others but I eithe rneed to do them all or abandon that one I think. 🤣 I have too many other things I would like to stitch!
Happy New Year, Chari. This was delightul! Thank you so much for sharing what you have been stitching. I am so impressed at all the projects you have completed and I look forward to seeing more of what you are creating. Your crafty space looks wonderful behind you as well. Have you ever done a tour of it? I find your style so inspiring! Thanks for ALL you do!
Thank you so much! I have not done a tour of my crafty space! That would mean I would have to clean it up. HA! Actually it is not too messy, it is small so I have to keep the mess to a minimum. I will consider one in the future!
I love your focus on smaller more manageable projects. Perfect size for senior stitchers. So can you link the flosstube channel you share with your sister? Thanks for being brave enough to share😊
