I say don't finish it with the 3rd part. You will forever feel this way about the piece. Either be done with your two favorite pieces or find a different pattern that fits the theme for the third section and sub-in the colors that match. We must always love the patterns we stitch, we put way too much work into them to not like it❤ Your stitching is beautiful by the way!😊
I would sub that basket on the tiny modernist out for a beach hut or something you love and there’s tons out there! I def don’t think it fits the piece at all! Maybe it would be a cute pillow to display with it on its own? Love it all ladies so much and Thank you Amy for your service and Happy 4th! I feel like I’ve wasted my time and my money if I don’t still love it by the end. I do love another viewers suggestion that you make your own design for the 3rd position. I just love seeing your Zucca. I worked on mine lately. It really is much bigger than I expected. I totally agree with you on Sweet Summer. I do not like that 3rd piece at all. I love the first too parts. I might try to find something else to fit in there like a beach hut or something. I need to get busy with my Christmas in July and I also need to stitch something for the Olympics. I cant wait for them to start. Happy 4th of July and Happy stitching
Hello lovely ladies. As for the summer chart... I wouldn't stitch the 3rd part. I agree, that 3rd part of the chart doesn't fit. Try and find a substitute, just as you mentioned... lighthouse, breaching whale tail. etc. I love watching the Olympic - s, especially gymnastics and figure skating BACK in the day. Cheers.

I purchased a chart for Ohio and Florida by thread milk designs. About 4 inch square. Check it out for Arizona. The note shows unique info about the state and state facts. I found out that Ohio was named the Buckeye State not because of our state tree but because the buckeye resembles the shape and color of a deer's eye. It's a fast stitch and could hang in your classroom. I heard one stitcher is working on all 50 states! Chart us $5. Happy 4th to both of you.

I agree with you on the Tiny Modernist piece, I think a sailboat on blue/aqua water would have been really cute. I'm moving onto Christmas stitching while watching the Olympics.
Congrats on 3K! Def have been enjoying the Christmas in July stitching & will be doing some Patriotic stitching later as I watch the Olympics. There will def be some USA shouted at the TV .. apologize to my kitties now! 😂 love the grinch stitch & all that sparkles & shines during the holidays throughout the year. Agree with others .. that 3rd part is a lil off as doesnt match the theme I dont think either. Id try to find something else that you could add in its place & then match the color scheme. If nothing else, repeat first side in a mirror image for part 3 but leave out the van. Add something else .. more palm trees, beach ball, sandcastle, etc., or another beach house.

I agree with your opinion of the last section from Sweet Summer SAL. I am going to scan for a beach replacement to go into the last section and will use the same color scheme as the first two sections. I may do her last section as a separate piece. I will just make it my own which can be great fun.
