Today we do a quick catch-up on my progress from the start of the month and then a much requested little close-up tour of my Gallery wall at the end to see those soft finishes!

I love the quilted finishes. I’ve incorporated a Mill Hill kit into the front panel of a project bag but hadn’t thought of making a cross stitch into a wall hanging like that. Well done - they look beautiful.

I love the quilted soft finishes. I have at least a couple projects that I want to finish like that, it's just a matter of putting down the cross stitching long enough to get out the sewing machine!

So sorry about your swan stitch, they are beautiful. When on vacation as a child ( many many years ago) my dad would say; “ Oh! Look! A hysterical monster” and I’d be like; “ where! I want to see a hysterical monster” Years later I found out he was talking about historical markers lol anyway, I adore your channel, you are like the daughter I would have love to have that I never had (however, I had an adorable son 😊)

You just made a very depressing I have to work on a Saturday much more pleasant. Luckily I can work and listen to floss tube at the same time. I love your video's they brighten up dreary winter days. Your stitching is amazing. Shell Seekers is one of my favorite Rosamunde Pilcher books I just re read it last year. My all time favorite book that she wrote was Coming Home. I will be downloading Heartless this weekend and the Lunar Chronicles sounds like they are right up my alley. Have a great weekend.

The project bag you are using for the "in the library" looks perfect, the set is wonderfully completed now!!! A delicious little crafting package have to say, even though I am not a fun of "Alice in wonderland", I know many people won't like me now, but it's the truth, I really like the "Alice meets the Caterpillar" pattern and can't wait to see it stitched, the colors look amazing, I love that peachy color fabric!!! As always, it's been very fun to watch your video and perfectly completed my Friday evening stitching!!! Thank you and looking forward to hearing (watching) about your next crafting updates 🧵🪡 P.S. I really, really love Rosamunde Pilcher, especially the books she wrote when she was a bit older from the "The Shell Seekers" and on! Although most of the people I know love "The Shell Seekers", my most favorite one is "September", probably because I read it first. An other favorite one, for me, was the "Coming Home", I really, really enjoyed that one 📚

One more thing I forgot in my previous msg - I absolutely loved your soft finishes!! This will solve a huge problem I have with seasonal stitch pieces. Being a quilter (Quiltworx Paper piecer) I have a huge stash of batiks, batting, binding material. You have just solved my problem with using up all my fabrics for both quilts and stitching and storing of seasonal xstitch pieces!! Thank you for that quick segment!!!

As much as I admire the progress that people with structured rotations and plans make.. I just can't do it. I rebel immediately when I feel like I "have" to stitch on something! So far this year I'm doing well with trying to stick to my existing WIPs as they call to me. I didn't realize that Marissa Meyer had another book... I'm going to have to get it. I loved the Lunar Chronicles, too. Rosamund Pilcher is one of my all time favorites.. especially the Shell Seekers.

A great video. The Barbera Ana-spelling? patterns look very interesting and artistic. I read Shell Seekers some years ago. I’d like to reread it. I saw the tv movie and liked it. If you like history, you might listen to, is it Linen and Flax flosstube? She’s a cross stitch fabric designer from Michigan. She just started her flosstube video about Presidential wives, ones no longer living. Started chronologically with Martha. I loved it and look forward to more! I like her regular cross stitch videos too. I look forward to more of your flosstubes, quilting too! Happy March! ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌲🌲

Hey! Another great floss tube! Love to see your progress. BTW I bought the book for my Kindle. I am an avid reader and I also read the summaries of her other books! Great recommendation! Take care until next time. Oh - don't worry about the Boo Boo on the swan - hey at least you found it early. I have had to pitch a few stitch projects because there was no way to fudge and frogging was out of the question. It will look great when you get back too it.

I was so excited to see a new video! Yes, silk is so luscious to stitch with. As I watched, I worked on Feast of Friendship using the Victoria Clayton silks. They are amazingly delightful. Anyway, have you read Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree? It’s a cozy fantasy book about found family and a coffee shop. It’s one of my recent favorites. :)

Just ordered the book off EBay. Apparently they made a Hallmark movie of this with Angela Lansbury. One of the reviews said the movie didn’t do the book justice but as a reader, we all know that is true. They did say Angela Lansbury was perfectly cast though. I just love her! I am going to read the book and then watch the movie. Thank you for enabling!❤

Shell Seekers is also one of my all time favorite books. I read it for the first time 30 years ago and it made such an impression I purchased several copies to give as gifts to several people in my life. Rosamunde Pilcher’s books were all so lovely and heart wrenching, but this one really stands out. How is your Turkey Day project coming along?

Making an impression is a good way to put it. I want to read it again this year, it has been a long while and the details are fuzzy again. Turkey Day has been tucked away- so no recent progress. I had plans to pull it out once a month but haven't been organized enough to do so yet. perhaps one of these days... 🦃
