I also have a son who is in the service, the Air Force to be exact, and a few years back he was deployed not once but twice to the Middle East. I’ve been wanting to make the Alaska quilt and I’ve been fortunate enough to attend a couple of Edyta’s retreats - they are so fun! I’d also love to make Erica’s crocheted blanket (I also spied it on her RU-vid) - haven’t gotten the pattern yet. Looking forward to your bag tutorial. Happy to hear you’re feeling well.

Hi Beth. I finished Land that I Love a while back and it's still one of my very favorite. Yours is even more special with your personalization. On Charlotte Frost, I just think of that man with the missing arm as holding his arm behind him. Like Mr D'arcy stands all the time in Pride and Prejudice.

Beth, I had to use a size 28 Sullivan ball tip needle when I was stitching on 32 count Heritage, it’s very tight.

I enjoy all of your stitches. I think the man in Charlotte Frost is to appear that his arm is folded to his back as many men stood that way in that era. Just my thought.

There’s a Blackbird pamphlet called “Violets Blue.” I wonder if that would be a good one to do on that lavender colored fabric you have. Just something that came to mind when I heard you mention that it’s not a color you typically purchase. I have that pamphlet, but I haven’t done a floss toss for it to see what fabric will work. So happy to see your video pop up. While I love the colors offered by PTP….I have stopped buying their linen because of the exact problem you’re having. Have you tried a smaller needle size or a Pony needle? Very much appreciate all the service your family had provided to our country.
