Another great video. You are right about collecting patterns being another hobby… I have always said that. Spending my summer stitching whenever I can which is daily as I’m retired. Also watching our 10 year old grandson part of the week…. Who knew a 10 year old could eat so many ICE POPS! 😊

Hi Laura, Hope you having a start to your week, I love it that you are now on a Friday evening, so I can sit and stitch while watching, I used to feel a little guilty on a Saturday morning after I had finishing my coffee still sitting watching, thankful it has turn a little warmer here, I had the heating on one night last week , my feet were like ice. Ice. I can't wait for Midsummer Stitch. It'll be my first stitchy event. This month is busy for me with Christmas in July, the Olympics, a SAL I'm hosting, and at least 5 new starts planned. This is my year of starts. I went from being a monogamous stitcher at the beginning of the year to now having 25+ wips. Learning to manage them all is a challenge, but I'll figure it out. After 32 years of cross stitching, Flosstube has really opened up my stitchy possibilities. I love your channel and look forward to watching every Friday.

I always enjoy seeing your progress each week and am in awe with the large projects you take on. As you were talking about the weather, the thunder started outside. A little early today, it was only around 2:30 but this is typical for the coastline in the humid weather. Glad we have the convivence of ice to add to our tea to help stay cool. Hi Laura, It’s Friday and so great to see you for your weekly update. I always enjoy seeing your progress and what you plan to stitch. I’m not much of a full-coverage stitcher but I do currently have two full-coverage pieces in slow progress, including Land That I Love. It’s been so hot here (over 100 for 4 straight days) that I stay inside and stitch. I could use a truckload of ice to keep me and my beverages cool!! Stay cool, stay well and happy stitching. 😊

Such an enjoyable video. For me, any pattern that doesn’t go into pattern keeper, goes into the GoodNotes app by photo or by pdf. I watched a short tutorial video by the 911stitcher and I LIT UP. Easy startup, easy to use, love it. Also has a function to export the marked-up image/pdf for backup - and I do. Hope you’re having a great weekend. 💖

Well I sure hope it was Mo who came back and was rummaging around down stairs, lol, I love the colourful current mood and I like the black too , I’m so glad you are an Aida stitcher too,I’m trying lugana with my latest stitch, it’s going ok so far, but I don’t think I’ll be giving up Aida anytime soon, the blue ice fabric is delicious, I’m all about the blues….

Love seeing your 18-count Darling David aida and how the colors look on it. I just bought for the first time 18-count Darling David aida from Those Missing Stitches and so far I have no idea what I am going to stitch on it but at least I have it now. Thanks for showing us what you have stitched on it. Of the 3 full coverages you picked I like #2 & #3. I met with my new Primary doctor on July 3rd and on Monday I am going to get blood work done on my Vitamin D too. I also have to take my blood pressure for the next month because he thinks I have High Blood Pressure. Happy Stitching.

I think the second and third pattern from Sweet Violet stitches are beautiful. That first one also, but you have (in my humble opinion) already something that looks quite simular, a full coverage with houses against a hill and the sea. The other two are different of what you have. But of course you can buy all three 😀 love the ice blue fabric.

Great video Laura, keeping me company tonight in a thunderstorm here in the west of Ireland. Someone somewhere missed the memo about this being summer. I'm stitching 324 from Works by ABC. It's turned out to be great distraction stitching, which was needed this week. Turns out when your brain is focused elsewhere counting becomes very difficult 😂😂😂. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

Morning Laura, Well when life happens, Beer certainly does help or my case it would a glass of red wine , my husband got a taste for ice tea on a trip the USA one year….sorry it’s definitely not for me, super finish, fish and ship is looking fabulous and I can’t say it often enough I love that colour of fabric.

A Villa in Tuscany. I like to make lemon ice in the summer. You basically make lemonade and put it in a casserole dish. Then, stir it every two hours. Iy turns out a little like a slush consistency. I am going to physical therapy because I have bursitis in my left shoulder, but then I fell last November, and it has been hurting ever since, even with therapy. I hope your knee starts feeling better soon.

RE Just Cross Stitch patterns into Markup--when you print, see if you have an option to change your printer to PDF. This will save your selected pages to a pdf file automatically. Then you can load them into Markup, but need to assign colors to the symbols. I find it works best if the pattern is a one page or 2 pages side by side as opposed to a "top and bottom" pattern. Hope this makes sense. I also can use ice any time!!!

Quick suggestion about Land That I Love... I have both Markup XP and Pattern Keeper, but I prefer Pattern Keeper. Now for the designs I can't get in Pattern Keeper, I take pictures of the chart using GoodNotes on my iPad and its awesome!!!

Great stitching progress!! Im with you, I have mark up xp and pattern keeper and I just cannot for the life of me figure out mark up xp. I've become pretty proficient to adding scans to my pattern keeper I don't get the color key but I'm ok with that I need to be able to zoom in, my 55 year old eyes need it!

I have PK and Mark-Up. I agree that Mark-Up has a steeper learning curve. I did not like PK because there were so many charts I could never get imported. I hated Mark-UP - I mean HATED Mark-Up and just went back to highlighting paper charts. Then one day, I just took the time to watch the RU-vid tutorials for Mark-Up and everything just clicked in my 71 year old brain. A few months ago I even imported a hand-written chart (ever seen one of those) following the tutorial tips. So, watch the tutorials and you will learn to love it. In July, I love to have a lemon meringue ice cream cone from the Chocolate Shoppe in Madison, Wisconsin.

Hi Laura. Ice doesn't last long in the desert but it sure is pretty. My son works outdoors every day here in Arizona and is absolutely bronzed. But he has low vitamin D levels. Go figure. Take it easy.
