I like seeing some of your scrapbook finished stitches in the background. It's a good way to keep appreciating them. I think when I have too many finishes for my villa walls, I'd be happy with a scrapbook of stitching too!

I can see the white on the Hello Summer piece but it wasn't really noticeable to me until you mentioned it. Maybe you can outline it in a light gray. Congratulations on 6000 subscribers! What a milestone!!! A Villa would be enough room to store fabric and charts! I've finally caught up with your flosstubes as well as some others...I've been recuperating from a hip replacement as well as the lung cancer surgery and this summer is finally my time to get caught up! I'm stitching a bit almost every day, not as much as I used to but I'm starting to get back in the swing of things. Working on another ATC for the swap...got one done already. Time marches on. Take care of yourself.

Love your stitching! You always have a nice variety and stitch much of the same things I am working on. I’m going to check my summer quaker. I am about finished with pg 7 and the area you are having trouble with is on the next page. I love the hello summer you are working on. I finished hello spring and want to do the rest of the series. I just saw autumn and it is as pretty as hello summer. I looked at your white stitching on the lighthouse and I couldn’t see the white. Sorry! Summer is on its way out in Ohio. In the 50s at night. Makes for some good stitching weather here at the Villa. I listen to books on tape out on the deck and it makes the stitching time fly by.

I was so bummed to miss the Zoom! At first we were supposed to go out for our anniversary (fun!) but then I got sick (not fun at all). Just a crummy cold, but it zapped me for almost a week. I hope to join in the next Zoom meetup. I love the fabric for Yellow Submarine - it's perfect! Oh, and for the lighthouse, maybe a light gray floss would show up more? Thanks for keeping me company while I attempt a new craft. Your channel is a happy, peaceful place for me.

Hi Laura! I enjoy your flosstubes every week but I confess I’m terrible at commenting! I watch them on my tv and keep meaning to then come onto my iPad and comment but then … squirrel! The brain fog is real!! But I was determined to comment this week so here I am. I just wanted to tell you how much your comments regarding having an online stitching community with lovely supportive friends who ‘get’ you resonated with me. Where I live in rural NE Scotland is not really conducive to a stitchy community and whilst I do go to a wee craft and chatter group none of them are really cross stitchers. So I’m hoping to find a home within the online community … which would be easier if I remembered to comment! Even insta seems too much to keep up with, it’s a juggle doing that and stitching! I was very much hoping to join the zooms but between real life and the time difference it never happened, maybe next time! But I really enjoy and appreciate your flosstubes, and also your warm, friendly, uplifting and welcoming nature and style. If I ever build up the courage to start a floss tube I’ll be delighted if I’m even a fraction as genuine, sincere and just lovely as you! I hope your daughter is feeling better and that you get lots of happy stitching time this week. See you next week!
Doh, the brain fog really is real … I forgot to congratulate you on your fantastic subscriber achievement, I hope it feels great knowing how highly people think of you and what you do. I also almost forgot to tell you that I know next to nothing about Aston Villa, other than that their colours are blue and burgundy. I have a stepdaughter who could tell me all about them but I’d be loathe to ask as she’s a huge Liverpool fan and I’d hate to upset her!! Pam

If I were doing your summer lighthouse, I would backstitch around the outside of the lighthouse so the white would show up better. Perhaps a dark grey or a very dark red would be my choice. Your Aston Villa piece is looking good and would make a good zoom stitch once the rest of the lion is at least outlined. Then there's always pickleball time. Of course, if you encourage Mo to play more and don't go along to watch, it might make him wonder why you want him out of the house. Whether you get it done or not, on time, he'll appreciate the thought and effort you've put into the piece. Have a good week and not too much physical stuff preparing for the visitors. We want you to keep improving not hurt from overdoing.

Love you Gnome Laura, he is coming along lovely, I love your Quaker I think it looks fabulous, and we have a saying over “ a blind man on a galloping house will never see it” which really just means you see it because you are looking for it, but nobody else will ever notice, my sons in law love football but I’m not sure if either of them follow Villa, a question I know must ask lol.

I couldn't see the white in the lighthouse - perhaps you could backstitch around it in a light grey? I'm with you on the blue - I'm a big fan of all things blue (maybe because I have similar colouring to you - fair skin, Irish & Scottish roots, brunette hair going grey, and blue eyes). I'm not with you on the early dinner though - I usually work until around 7 or 7:15 so by the time I get home it's 7:30 and my husband has dinner ready for us. He's a keeper! Have a great week!

I am an educator and I will be retiring at the end of this school year, after 40 years!!! I really want to visit Greece during retirement.
