Debbie, you are NOT crazy for restarting your piece! This is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable art and hobby. If it is not bringing you peace and joy, start over!! I ALWAYS get such a giggle from you ladies! As a Labor and Delivery nurse, very VERY little shocks me. I worked for friends who have perimeter alarms around their property. You wouldn't know they are there, but they beep when someone comes anywhere around their property. So if a delivery person arrives it alerts, mail, alert, friends, alert. It gets noisy if you have a lot of friends or family coming over but, it really saves my friends so they can look at their cameras to see who is out there. Just another layer to the cameras. I always look forward to your FlossTube! Happy you are enjoying the punch needle projects! You do awesome work. Love your content.

Debbie, your punch needle is fantastic! I took a class last year and made a simple sunflower, but I didn’t love it, so back to cross stitch for me! But I’m glad I tried it, I was always curious about the process. And Debbie, you seem much happier with your restart, so I would continue with it. I totally understand your apprehension and I think it would make it a chore to continue on with the original.

Y’all are delightful! I know how you feel about starting over on your project, Debbie. This happened to me a few years ago. The decision plagued me for days. Finally, I got up one morning and examined the piece closely and realized it was going to be just fine! I’m so glad I didn’t start over on that one, but another time…I had to start over.

You two are just the best!! Another great video of beautiful projects and zany life antics. Keph, maybe one of your neighbors would have footage on their security cameras that would have caught someone prowling around your house. I even think the police would be interested in knowing what happened with your cameras going offline, as well as reporting the theft. And Debbie, if it brings you peace of mind to restart that project, then I say go for it. Perhaps you can even make some sort of small project from the stitching you’ve already completed. Thanks for always bringing laughter and your joyful spirit into our lives.

Debbie surge your material and keep going on your project. It’s perfect. However I understand how you feel. Your stitching should be relaxing. Surging will keep it from fraying. 😃

Oh Debbie I would not start that over, use a sewing machine and just run a stitch all the way around your fabric and trim it up neatly and the fraying will stop! Honestly at the end of the day it’s your time and you have to do what you want but girl it’s so pretty! Love it all ladies❤

Debbie, if it makes you feel any better I have started and re-started the Judith Kirby Halloween houses at least 3 times and I still think I may need yet another fabric change 🤣 I just put it away until I can figure it out. Go with your gut! Better to restart now vs. waiting until you get closer to the end and not being happy with it.

Debbie, you have not lost your mind! Stick with your start-over. (I get it.) And if your mind is not at peace, you won't enjoy the stitch. I've been wanting to start punch needle, and you are an encouragement. But I'm on a purchase hold. I've managed 3 months. But my wish list of patterns, etc. is getting long. Thanks, ladies!!

I have lots of cardinals at my bird feeder…I love thinking they are a reminder of my departed father. I would zigzag the frayed edge on my sewing machine and continue the stitch BUT it is more important that you enjoy everything you stitch so do what your heart says to do.

I turn the edges one time and do a running stitch along the edges of the fabric. Fast and easy. Try it on fraying edges. Love you guys. 💖

Keph, be sure to get an alarm system if you don’t already have one. It will give you peace of mind - especially at night (unless the hacker can disarm that too😬). Now that would be alarming😳

Disagree……Fray Check is Perfect!! I use it on everything from XStitch to felt!! Just a suggestion, I Fray Check all my edges before I even start stitching. Start over if you want but Fray check should do the trick. I would do the entire edge though. Good luck.

Don’t start over. Zig zag the edges or tape them.

Debbie, DO NOT start that stitch over again!!! If you don't have a sewing machine or serger you can take painter's tape and place it on the edges. If the tape is too wide cut it down to make it more narrow. There are too many things to stitch to be starting over on a piece you've put that much time and effort into stitching. Figure out how many inches you need for your fabric count. I bet you'll find you have enough fabric to finish it. Even if you have less than an inch it can still be finished. Lots of finishing choices that don't require a lot of extra cloth around the perimete.
