Well, now you’ve done it…got me some serious linen envy going on! Glad you found what you wanted and love the way you share with us vs the standard of vintage country mocha. I rarely use the called for linen so choosing what to use is the hardest part of stitching for me. Thanks for making it a little easier!🪡

I missed seeing you at Shepherd’s Needle by one day!!! 😫 We travelled in our camper from Iowa to see the eclipse and to visit Arkansas. As we were traveling the state, we spent two nights at a park near Little Rock just so I could go to Shepherds’s Needle. My husband spoils me. 😊 I came home with lots of linen. Being able to see it before I bought it was a real treat AND I bought Cohana scissors! I totally understand why they are so loved! I always enjoy watching your Flosstube. I learn so much from you. ❤

My first watch for you. Someone mentioned you so I subscribed and gave a watch. I like how you showed the fabrics you bought looked against vintage country mocha which is a fabric we all recognize. That was very helpful.

You are a wonderful teacher. Was this one of your past lifetime occupations? I know you taught many quilt classes, and perhaps that is what makes your videos so wonderful. I always feel I learn something knew from you. I also wanted to thank you for doing the intro to black work in your last video. I did watch it and I saved it to watch again later. I didn't't acknowledge it at the time, for which I apologize, but I did see it and enjoyed it very much. I am going to check out the sites you mentioned in this video as well for blackwork. Thank you ever, ever so much! When you show your linen purchases, I do appreciate your comparison to the vintage country mocha linen. What a great idea. I love your color choices. They are so much what I also love, Your purchases give me ideas for what to order for myself, so I really appreciate your sharing and comparisons. Thank you for a lovely visit. I also enjoyed your photo vantage at the beginning of the film. Great photos. I am so glad you were able to see the eclipse. It is truly and awesome event. Hi Virginia, so glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your nice note so much. As far as occupations - I taught quilt classes for 36 years, mostly from my own designs, wrote 10 books and designed quilting fabric for different companies for almost 20 years. Still doing some Zoom lectures for quilt guilds, I pivoted to virtual teaching when the pandemic stopped travel and quilt guilds from meetings in person. Many of them switched to virtual meetings and many are still doing hybrid meetings. Haven’t ever counted how many classes I’ve taught, but I’m sure it is in the hundreds. 😳 Before that, I worked in different libraries: school, public (large and small), a state library and even in government documents for a short time. Could have something to do with my organizational skills. 🤷‍♀️ 🙂 So glad you enjoyed the little blackwork segment. It’s intrigued me for years. Be sure to check out the different videos on Lynn’s channel. So much there, I can’t wait to watch more. Thanks again, appreciate your sweet note.

I have recently found your floss tube videos but you are one of my favorites! I am working on Shores of Hawk Run Hollow. Your tip about counting the border with a full cross stitch is an absolute game changer! Thank you so much. I have rearranged the squares I'm doing and am incorporating initials of lost love ones to personalize the piece. I change little things as well. For example I'm working on the house with the lady on top deck. I am Scot-Irish and did the clovers in green...

I guess I thank you, Karen; not sure if the wallet does. You mentioned Hillside Rookery on Etsy so of course I had to go look. Wasn't sure how the postage worked for multiples so I wrote Olivia. Not three minutes later I had a response, and within the hour I had ordered five new charts. Which I totally didn't need, but she had some patterns that I had never seen before. I didn't mention you, but I made me a note; and when get my order, I will thank Olivia and tell her where I heard about her Etsy shop. This was my first video of yours, but I shall be returning.

What type of rings do you put your floss drops on? The binder rings have large bending areas where the floss drops catch.

I'm from NW Arkansas but was out of the state for the eclipse. I have stitched Riley Harbor, need to frame it. I took Nicki Noodle's suggestion and used an over dyed for the whale. I used a blue for the fabric for sky/water.

Hi Lisa, isn’t it pretty on Vintage Country Mocha?! The piece is cut 18”x18”. The model was done one over one. I think the margin is 2”. Thanks so much for your note!
