Hi everyone! The audio is slightly off for the first 15 minutes then sorts itself out. Thank you for your patience with that!

I love “Raise Your Words, Not Your Voice.” Your cowls are beautiful. I think it is sweet that you make things for your friends and coworkers.

Ah thanks Tami! I love making things for people! I'm just soooooo slow and get easily distracted. Thanks for tuning in!

I've been thinking about crocheting a sweater, too, but I'm not there yet! It excites me that you are starting to think about learning more about your culture! Thank you so much for your thought provoking comments! 💝

A crochet sweater seems daunting! But I'm ready! Got to get my stash down first before investments 😁 Thanks for tuning in Denise! I've got your latest video queued up to keep me company this morning!

Sorry you had to record your video twice, but thanks for doing so and sharing with us. I love the pattern with all the square motifs, and seeing your Here Be Dragons makes me want to start mine. Love the comments about sustainability with textiles, too--good things to think about and be more mindful of. Thank you also for mentioning HEAL Palestine, which I hadn't heard about and will look into.

Hi Danielle! Oh yes, start your Here Be Dragons! I can't wait to see what colors you use.

Thank you for persevering and re-recording so we could all enjoy our time with you 💜 So much beautiful stitching, as always, and also as always such motivating, caring words about actions to take in our community and beyond. I love your approach to Stitch4Pride this year! And the bookmarks with Maryam’s SAL is genius. So fun to see Fruits of Plenty back out, and the Afshan restart is gorgeous. Keep going and take heart, my friend; you are not alone. Thank you for continuing to put your heart and your convictions out in the world for us to see ❤️❤️❤️

Ah thanks Sarah. I needed that. The world does feel lonely sometimes! I was in a blue funk yesterday but coming out of it. Thanks for tuning in and for being there ♥ How lucky are we that we got to hang out twice this month!?!

I’m just catching up on flosstubes and yours was on the top of my list! I love what you’re doing with the Keith Haring piece! It’s going to look so good! I’m glad you discovered my favorite quilt shop here in OKC too. When I discovered they had the whole Cosmo line, I may have gone a bit overboard and bought a bunch. It’s nice to have a local supplier for them!

I don't know how I missed you during my time in OKC Amy! Next time, let's stitch and chat for sure! I would go overboard too. Seeing that Cosmo in person is something special.

So much good stitching I have to get into Julie’s SAL and stitch more Tatreez. I love what you have done with the bands from my SAL. They are ideal for book marks and that way each band is a finish 😉 You have made so much progress on Sepideh. And yes that’s what her name means 😊 That pale green and berry looks fantastic. Let’s hope this one works out 😅 That fruit of plenty is stunning. Every time I see someone’s wip I miss mine 😂 For Februavery you can stitch on any bird or birb ( small bird)

Ah thanks Maryam! There's so, so much beautiful tatreez out there to stitch. Laura completed a beautiful one recently - red stitching on black fabric. So pretty.

I’ve had to re-record as well and it’s such a kick in the pants as the first go around was totally brilliant wasn’t it 😉 I definitely think more about textile waste in terms of fast fashion so that is some food for thought.

Kia ora Nitya, well, this was lovely. lots to say but of course I didn't write notes. You have made so much progress. It is fantastic when we can get a big chunk of time to focus on one piece. I am sure you can handstitch all your project bags if you want to. You will find it so relaxing. I love your Tunisian project especially. I am quite fascinates by it, but I really don't need another project. The other cowl that looked quite geometric looked amazing too. I have been listening to tattreez talk too. It's been good. I love that Waffa is quite firm in her views about the right way, not about the backs, lols, she basically said people need to relax about the backs but the stuff about Palestinian textiles being for Palestinian people, especially as an oppressed people that are persecuted and at risk of losing their culture too. Very good. Good luck this month. I hope you enjoy your crafting and that gives you peace. Catherine

Kia ora! I'm getting ready to finish a project and hand stitch it into a pillow, so I've got some relaxing stitching time coming my way! I will channel my inner Catherine and see what I can do! Wafa is wonderful, loved hearing hear speak. You've got to hear Omkari Williams speak about activism for introverts, I'm curious to know what you think about it. I took away some great insights from her.

Hi, your stitching of patterns with cultural significance is what drew me to your channel. I love your choices of designs. I would like to buy Lina's design Etude but I'm unable to find it. Could you steer me to where her designs are sold? Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for tuning in! It looks like she's no longer selling on Etsy, so the pattern is no longer available. Sorry about that! I love to hear about what other cultural patterns you might be stitching on! I'm always curious.

Nitya - amazing finish of Raise Your Words! We will have to talk about the yarns you've found that are eco-friendly! Yes! Yay! 3 projects for #CCCwithJulieSAL ?! Nitya - thank you! You are an over achiever - LOL! All of those patterns are so meaningful and beautiful! I'm so happy that your break was joyful and full of stitching 🙂 I have to find a good dragon pattern to start. I love your motif-a-week pattern. There are so many beautiful colors in that pattern. That is absolutely perfect for this endeavor! 5 motifs = 5 weeks! Make your own rules ;-) LOL! You know that I don't care! Your color combo for Bake Me a Quaker is Milwaukee Brewers colors!! I love it! 😄😅😍 So, love the "skein at a time", great idea! Love, love, LOVE your Stitch For Pride colors for this month and that idea - cannot wait to see how this turns out for you month to month and at the end ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Hello dear! Omg yes, I need to find my chat with Catherine and make that list of yarns she recommended. I will definitely share that list with you! How's your dragon pattern search going? Time for another MFE? Here Be Dragons? Do it! Do it! Oh gosh March was the end of Motif a Week for me! But maybe in April I can pick it back up. Thanks for tuning in!!!
