Here is Fluval Edge set up and how I have done it and some thoughts on it. This tank gets a 50% water change weekly and is dosed with Seachem Flourish. 7 ish hours of light.
This tank is the reason I got into the hobby in 2012. It’s so beautiful! I quickly moved into saltwater, and used both the 6g and 12g version as reef tanks. Def not an easy design to maintain. I sold both a couple of years later, and moved to a larger tank. But nostalgia is making me want another one! You don’t see them locally available anymore for some reason.
That's awesome! It's definitely an attractive design. Dude a saltwater scape like you had sounds dope Fluval did slow the production of them greatly. I believe they only make the black 12g and white 6g now if at all.
@@bensfishtankchannel Saltwater again. I transferred my 10g into it last night. Also zip tied the 10g’s reef led fixture. Jury is still out on how well it’s gonna work. It’s very spotlight-like. Haha. I have 2 bubble tip anemones in there. Watching to see how happy they’ll be with this very different setup. Some mushroom corals, too. Only other livestock in there right now is a snail. We’ll see. I’m kinda bummed about the light spread right now. But that’s kinda part of the deal with the 6g Edge.
That's a good idea. It would be a fun scape to do and make a good example of what one could do with the stock tank. I've been thinking about doing an iwagumi scape in it with an upgraded light. What would you like to see?
Nice tank! Hey Im setting up one but lost the light power supply. Can you tell me the V and ma specs on the small power supply part that plugs into the wall?
