Considering that the neither the primary nor the secondary hulls were designed as lifting bodies, this was quite a feat of modeling.

Incredible that you got such a clunky design like the Enterprise D to actual stay in the air. That's an incredible accomplishment on your part. Thanks for sharing. :)

I like the model. It did not really have to fly. The lights and the structure alone was very good.

Dude! That is great. I can't believe the original design of the Galaxy class was actually aerodynamically viable with a minimal effort. Credit to its designer Andrew Probert. I definitely would not have thought it was air worthy but you made it work. With a little bit of weight tweaking i'm sure you can resolve the stability issues. Thank you for making this and for using awesome soundtrack :).

The physical shape of the ship was never meant to fly in our atmosphere. I think the fact that you found a way to make it do so is nothing short of freekin awesome!! SWEET!!!

Absolutely awesome!!! Not many people put in the time anymore to build such amazing models. These days it's all kit made and fly, which is OK, but great to see some people still doing this.

The sheer amount of time, work, research and care in creating this is not only a testament to your ingenuity but the enduring message OF Star Trek that NOTHING is impossible to the willing mind. BRAVO SIR!

WOW, that was incredible. You built the whole thing from scratch. I feel amazing when I build a prefabricated computer and then put it together like Lego blocks. I share your love of Star Trek, TNG is not only the best Star Trek but my all time favorite TV show of all time!!! You, sir, are a true engineer!

I grew up watching Star Trek... This is something that I never would have imagined I would see. You did an excellent job.

Now build a Klingon D4 class" bird of prey" warbird, so that it has something to chase! Brilliant design, and congrats for successful flights!

You made a FICTIONAL ship that wasn't designed for air-lift even in the fictional SHOW... FLY in real life. Sure, there's a few balancing kinks to work out - but SO WHAT!!!! When is there NOT a few kinks to work out in something that's never been done before?!?! ... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! Get this perfected, make a BIGGER version - which can possibly even HOVER - and you might be able to get PAID to make special appearances at various shows & conventions... plus maybe nail a contract to make other functional fictional ships for the studios themselves!! Hi! Very nice aircraft. However your flight looks tail heavy. Measure the diameter of the forward disc from front to rear, multiply by .29, measure back from the leading edge with the product of diameter x .29 and that should be your Center of Gravity (CG). If your battery will not balance the aircraft on that CG, get a battery with a higher mAh (heavier) until it balances on the CG. All the best and Happy flying!

Meanwhile, the tiny crew of the NCC-1701-D have thrown up all over the ship.

The fact that it was able to fly around for a few seconds is incredible in itself. Genius!

This is really impressive. I mean it's 4 July 2021, and I'm seeing this for the first time... And I'm very impressed. I mean you did this, you built this in an age in the world's history where we didn't really have smartphone apps (they were pretty new back then). But more than that, you did it before the age of drones that would have added a lot more lift. You did it long before the age of 3d printing where you could have printed (replicated?) the parts you needed. Very very impressive

Put a tail on it, of clear plastic or something that is hard to see. Maybe it will fly better. But I don't want to take away from how VERY impressed I am at what you've accomplished. Such imagination and talent! Thank you for doing it and for posting this video.

Seems to me that there are two little problems. 1: Slightly underpowered. 2: Slightly tail heavy. Other than that this is great fun. Excellent model and I love the lights. The aerodynamic problems probably stem from the wing being the furthest forward part of the aircraft. The thrust-line could probably be altered downwards a little to give some aerodynamic 'nose weight'. Well done - Very entertaining.

I've seen Star Trek since the 70's and I have NEVER seen any Enterprise fly for real until now. Great job! I have to echo another comment here and say although ,it isn't the smoothest RC plane online you took a ship that was never designed to fly and maybe not even originally, fictionally designed to look like it could do more than blast off from earth or perhaps be shuttled into space and you really made it fly without changing it's looks anymore than adding the prop.

WOW! I can't believe you got it to fly considering it has no lift profiles. The directional surfaces are ingenious. Great job, and thank you for sharing your accomplishment!
