Flying the Helicycle "Turbinator" 

Lovely control ... I'm a fixed wing man in UK and in 1975 after I'd got my PPL I enquired about rotary wing lessons. The fixed wing lessons were £16 ph back then and the rotary were £50 ph. I was offered a discount of 5 hours from the then 40 required minimum (now 45 I believe) to get the rotary wing licence as I had a fixed wing licence and had I the money I'd have done it ... but alas .. I didn't. Always regretted it. This bloke is an excellent pilot judging from what we see in the video.

Wow that 5 min shot of the control panel was interesting while everything to watch was going on at the turbine engine.

His dream in life was that every American home should have a helicopter in their driveway. His first helicopter was the Scorpion.

Great copter just looks like everything is in it's place and balanced I'd been in small fixed wings many times but never a helicopter my first time in a helicopter the instructor said this is just like a fixed wing and as soon as we leave the ground we're flying and he went straight up to about 40 ft and hoovered I said now this is flying had a great time

That guy flys like he's a veteran Cobra pilot. People don't realize that flying in low tight spots is more dangerous and requires more skill and control than flying high does. Flying low DOES make it easier to film and see the heli in flight.

That's a beautiful machine. I wish I had it and you had a nicer one! I'm flying an R 44 Raven and I would love to build a Helicycle.

Don't know much about Helicopters but I can recognize an expert pilot when I see one. I'm guessing decades of experience. Viet Nam maybe? Eight years later but this was just recommended to me.

Flying an RC heli is way harder than a real one.... i fly both and i can vouch for that :)

Stan's machine is exceptional and his flying skills are solid, especially considering that he is a fairly new heli pilot. If you want to see a real life emergency auto he did simply go to his channel and watch a 40 MPH run-on landing he did when the flame went out at 150 ft and 40 MPH forward speed. It was interesting to say the least.

Stam , where did you buy the wide landing struts instead of useing the rouond bar type? The really look good.
