This channel is awesome. I am an A&P and have purchased a PA-22-135 project. Looking forward to flying my "new" plane. My first plane was a Cessna 120, another project. Only way us working stiffs can afford planes.

Try Blue Mountain Airpark, Trion GA. My parents just built a small house and a hanger after living in MI for 20 years. 2400 ft grass runway, 2 hours from ATL and 40 minutes to Chattanooga. We also own a Piper Tri-Pacer that was converted to a Pacer. 1958 N8714D

Hey David, just a shout out. I learned to fly in 1990 bought my first Tripacer a PA22-150 that year and flew that one and a second one for almost 30 years. I am 70 now so I grounded myself because of eyesight, just can't see good enough to fly any more. Just sold all of my airplanes this summer. I appreciate your videos very much, I can still smell my old girls like I am sitting in the left. Thanks Well done brother! Keep them coming.

@@davidschmaus1 Merry Christmas to you to! I live in New Mexico so that is a trip for you. I go back east from time to time. I can't quite figure out exactly where your little strip is, but is is pretty much perfect for a TriPacer. I could show you some tricks with that will open new doors for you. At your altitude, you can get that bird off from 90 to 120 feet. Land at 45 MPH with about the same rollout. The Tripacer is a totally misunderstood and under used aircraft. I spent most of my time mountain flying here in NM. My dad had an airstrip on our family cattle ranch. Good times. Happy to see these airplanes still doing what they were designed to do and so much more!

OUTSTANDING, David! Really enjoyed that flight. You'll find that the climate in South Carolina and Southern North Carolina to be quite hot and humid for much of the year. Muggy. But, as you mentioned, winter is much more temperate.

Not a very high time pilot, but not keeping your hand on the throttle during take-off/ landing is a bad habit.
