Glad you did a Bag Declutter today! My handbag was not too bad, but I keep a clear plastic pocket IN my handbag (with necessities that I always have in any bag, so I can switch bags easily), and my pillbox had spilled! So I tidied that and refilled. Good job! Love your Granny stories!

Su zy haha! I belonged to an International Ladies group when we lived overseas and we had a weekly "Stitch & Bitch" group! Sewing, crafting, tea, coffee, lots of talking & so much fun!

I cleaned my handbag and wallet along with you! Couldn't believe how many old receipts I had. Even had an old automobile insurance card from two years ago! Thank you for the motivation!

Thanks gor the declutter advice....love the Granny story...reminds me of the lady who was waiting at the GP surgery for her smear test, she needed the loo and there was no paper so she used a tissue from her handbag. Had her test, went home and the next time she went to the loo found a green shield stamp in her underwear that had clearly been stuck somewhere on her nether regions!! 😂😂 Oh dear. Green shield stamps!!!

Thanks so much for that! I found two important items in my bag that I’d forgotten about! Diane, I’ve noticed that you get very flustered and distracted from what you’re trying to say when you stop to convert temperatures, measurements, money, or to translate British terms for us. Please just relax and don’t bother with that. Please just use the terms you use everyday and feel comfortable with. There are only three countries in the world that haven’t converted to the international metric system, and the USA actually has laws on their books from the eighties adopting the metric system for international trade. If people don’t understand, they can just google it and it will be a learning experience. Just one more benefit of watching your videos! We all love your fun and helpful content so much! Your differences just add to your charm. Now I’ve got books out of the library about Hygge. I’m now reading The Year Of Living Danishly, and she really explains a lot about the wonderful Danish culture. You are broadening our horizons on top of improving our lives and homes and mental health (yay Pamper Time!).

That is so right. I also think so. Nowadays everyone can use the net to find what ever you want. I often use my old dictionary, and you can also use google translate to find a word. Btw - I think everyone can hear or see (in the written word) that my language isn't english ord danish. But I try to speak and write, try to understand - and it's fun to learn that way!

Decluttered my bag with you, Diane. Found a glasses case I really don't like and will be donated so there's my 'bonus' declutter item for the day. Had to look up "boiled sweet" and oh, that poor baby!

Hi Diane - have loved your Granny stories; reminded me of mine - from cleaning down the tenement stairs to wearing a rainmate! I’m recovering from hand surgery but have managed to declutter five items this week using one hand - the non-dominant one too! Still warm here in Perth Australia although we’ve actually had a mild summer for a change.

declutter 5/40 my DH decluttered the sofa without me saying one single word, but it was my wish and for one week I did not know where to put this stuff. I was very glad to see it when I came home. I count this also as a progress as my dear husband promised that he wanted to join in to the 40 days declutter challenge

I learn (lærer) so much from you videos!..about language and funny enought Denmark. LOL! Glad to say that my life is "back to normal" (as far as I now) Its so great with Flylady that I can stay on track or just jump in to "follow up" on my "system" for the house. :-) Did empty my bags today and decluttered - think I need a bit more of that before cleaning..best thing-I'm not loosing it as I did before Flylady where I dod not know where to start etc. :-) Thx for todays video

Besides special occasion handbag, are these the only ones you have/use? I switch out some each season, but probably have way too many ... Sets of small, medium, and tote size in matching colors. Decluttered some for last clothes swap party. I see a "future" 👜 declutter in my future... PS my Italian granny used that plastic bonnet back in the day, too. Memories....😊 Have a great weekend, Reggie
