Oh dear my dh and I had a very sleepless night. Managed to do some of my morning routine but decided to get to beach before forecasted 40 mile hour wind. Having brunch while watching your vlog by the sea . You reminded me it's car and purse day so will get to that later. Every day's a special day and I am determined to enjoy the sun . Year Diane I love your Videos! It is nice that you keep them short. Do you have any tips how to handle Interruptions. I have a Hard time keeping focused and finishing the task. I bet people with kids can relate to that.

Well, it depends on who is interrupting you! LOL! If it's a phone call, for example, let them know that this isn't a convenient time. The main thing is to use a list, so that you can check things off or know where you left off. Are you using a timer? Great for keeping you focused. And you can show your kids how to use one. You can also explain to them, "I'm working on this for another 5 minutes, and after that I will come and help you with x, y or z." Hope that helps!

Took the time to fold and put away the laundry in our bedroom and stored last bits away from holiday, havent even noticed I hadn't yet 😲. Happy weekend!

There is a grocery store here in the US called Aldi Foods that uses the cart return system. You put in a quarter (25 cents) and retrieve the cart for use, then you get your quarter back after you return the cart. My DH managed a store like it for years. I do not understand why all groceries in the US do not use this system. DH said people would grumble about having to retrieve the cart that way. It is genius; why did they grumble? Laziness, I believe. We really should take lessons from many of the Denmark practices that hold people accountable for their actions :) Happy "Snack Night Friday" from one "cleaned out purse gal" to another!

in my city in the usa, we have the same cart system you do. we have to put a coin in to get one, and put it back to get our coin back. have a good weekend!

Where i live in australia aldi has the coin systems for the shopping trolleys but other grocery stores usually dont, so most shops are chaos but some aren't

❣Hi, Diane, time for the timer...what a difference 5 minutes can make! But I've to be more careful with throwing away, a parcel I sent on a long way trip is lost and I obviously decluttered the post bill with the number🙄, it was always my fear that I can't find important things, so I always had a paper problem...so far I found out, I wrote the wrong number of the house in the address, so sad, hope it isn't lost. Time to be more careful. This will be my extra task in 'flylady land' ( I enjoy our 'meetings' in this 'promise land'😉). Love, Monika❣

Hey Diane. I've been checking out DYT. Really struggling to figure out what type I am (I think I'm a 2) but it's a lot of fun. I actually got the book on Audible and have been listening to that as well.

Aldi here does that with a coin. Lov it. Drives me nuts for lazy people leave carts out!!! I videoed a guy once and put it on fb hehehe😁

Diane, you touched on a pet peeve of mine about shopping carts!😒 It is puzzling that people in US don't feel the need to put them back... I have found that Europeans in general seem much tidier with such things than we Americans are. I sometimes get a load of carts and put them back myself- doesn't take any time at all!! About Helen Corbett notelet- you were so smart to keep those note lets from the 70s!!! They made them so pretty back then didn't they?? Oh how I wish I had kept some!!😥Perhaps your mother remembers where she got the Apple notelet.... I would love to know how it ended up in Britain (sometimes they have a copyright notation on them) My favorite vintage bookshop in UK is Stella and Roses books- sometimes old books have little treasures in them, like notelets❤️❤️ We excitedly await the clothes swap video😁Elizabeth! PS: My DH and I don't do date nite either, we have family nite out with our DS15... Kids grow so quickly, you'll never look back and say "oh I wish I'd had more date nites when the kids were home" because once they leave- every nite will be date nite. So we are soaking up all we can of our DS👪❤️❤️
