She had major major vocal damage during this show, she wrote about it in her book. The doctor said that she was surprised Lacey still had her voice and could talk, let alone sing.
Can we just appreciate how her voice was so damaged, yet she still sang live for God and her fans, she never lip synced even though she had to be in pain.
yeah...sigh... back then I was a teenager heavily influenced by the religion which was presented to me by society...In the past ten years I totally moved to more of an agnostic, humanistic, cosmopolitan mindset instead. But still, the first Flyleaf album is fucking brilliant and pulls at my heartstrings every time I listen to it.
This song is about how in the midst of all the pain and suffering… inbetween all of that she saw and found Jesus. And He saved her. The same can be true for you brother. He’s knocking at the door. All you gotta do is open it up ❤. God Bless.
life long death metal head here. A past girlfriend showed these guys to me 10 years ago. still love it. Its not about image. its about emotion. Death metal or any other genre. They did it right.
Same, brother. I love death and black metal but this song still gets to me after all these years. Reminds me of sweet times and the people I shared them with.
I love this song.. i love every track on this album. im really really disappointed that all of the live performances ive seen do not have anyone singing the backup vocals. The guy who did this on a few of the tracks on the album made these songs amazing. Especially this one. So powerful. Why did they not have this live?
